Mission Sapne is a reality show which brings the common man to the fore and connects them with their favorite actor/star. The show promises to fulfill the dreams and desires of the common people.
Sonali Bendre starts the show by saying – we have everything, flowers in the pots, love from the past, and expectations from tomorrow, and life was beautiful. The show is about Kiran Kumari and her 6-year old daughter Aarzoo. Aarzoo’s father has passed away last year after living in coma for 2 1/2 years, and used to work as a Taxi driver in Mumbai. Their unfulfilled dreams will be realized by Ram Kapoor who will work as a taxi driver on Mumbai roads with the responsibility of fulfilling their dreams.
Sonali welcomes Kiran and Aarzoo on stage. Sonali asks who has kept her daughter’s name as Aarzoo ? Kiran says that she gave her daughter the name Aarzoo which essentially means desire since she didn’t bore children and the doctor has told her to adopt a child. Her husband also wanted a daughter and regards daughters are the ones who provide support to parents. Kiran’s husband name is Rajeev Sharma.
Kiran speaks on the fateful day when her husband met with an accident and after hearing about it, they take him to the hospital. She realized the difficult times in the hospital even she herself has to suction her husband’s neck tube. Kiran’s husband was in Coma for 2 1/2 years before he has passed away. Sonali speaks on the Mission Sapne and says that whatever the star makes the money, mission sapne will multiply that amount by 100 times.
Sonali welcomes Ram Kapoor who comes on the song – and Aarzoo smiles at Ram by showing the gap in her teeth. Sonali shows an AV about Kiran and Aarzoo’s life. Kiran and Rajeev have only one dream which was to fulfill all the dreams of their daugter. But one accident has changed their entire life. Kiran took loans from people for Rajeev’s medical expenses and the costs were 3 to 4 lakhs rupees. Kiran didn’t lose hope and work as a tailor to support her family. She says that there are no means to return the loans and she is trying to return the money in small parts. Kiran only wants to see Aarzoo succeed and that’s the essence of her life.
Ram says that it was very heartfelt after seeing the AV about Kiran and Aarzoo’s life. Ram then asks Aarzoo about her age and she replies 6 years. Ram then talks about her daughter who is 7 yrs old. Aarzoo says that her father used to bring chocolates for her and because of which she gets reminded of her father. Ram asks Kiran that her loan amount will be paid because of his work for Mission Sapne but how about her future course of action and how will she support Aarzoo. Kiran responds that she has thought on an organization – Prabhav as she is joined there and will work day-in day-out to take care of Aarzoo. Sonali speaks with Ram about his work to drive Taxi. Ram says that he sat in Taxi 6 yrs ago. Sonali says that Ram has to leave his Mercedes and to drive the taxi. Ram then leaves from there to work as a taxi driver on Mumbai roads.
At 11:00 AM, Mumbai, Maharashtra
Ram starts his work at 11:00 am and is seen informing young children and their parents about him driving taxi for a day. He explains to them about the cause – helping a family that he is supporting by earning money as a taxi driver. He says for things like photograph, taxi drive he will charge money. Ram takes photos with children, middle-aged men and before driving the taxi with only photographs he managed to get couple of thousands rupees. Ram dedicates the money to Kiran.
Ram asks people about the location of taxi stand and after explaining his cause of helping a taxi driver’s family. He got 500 rupees for the first customer a man who informs his family about Ram Kapoor and then goes to pick his wife and daughter with him in the car. Ram speaks with them that 4 films are releasing this year and urges them to see his movie.
Ram then meets some more people leading from the first customer and earns a thousand of rupees. Ram even asks for advice for fellow taxi drivers about smart ways to find customers and waits at a taxi stand. He then meets a young women with her daughter who becomes her second customer and drives them in his taxi and also explains the cause that he is part of. He also tells them that people are generous as each of them have given him 500 to 1000 rupees. Its hard for him to drive taxi but he is very happy with the cause. Ram obliges to few photos with them and later meets the woman’s husband.
Ram then gets another customer who asks him about him driving taxi. Just after a while, Ram while driving taxi encounters traffic police who asks him about traffic license, and he answers that he doesn’t have one. Because of this, he paid 200 INR as traffic fine. This incident happened at 3:30 pm and by paying the fine he also acted as a responsible citizen. Some time later, he gets another customer Shilpa and explains to her about his cause of collecting money and gets 100 Rs from her.
At 5:00 PM: Ram worked hard in driving taxi and has sweat a lot while driving and earned a good amount and also paid traffic police fine. Ram ends his work. Sonali in the studio speaks that if we are determined to help somebody then nobody can stop us. She then talks about Ram Kapoor who being a film and TV personality and star didn’t became shy to drive a taxi. While working as a taxi driver, he was anxiously looking for the customers. Ram comes on the stage and sonali welcomes him. Ram comes with a chocolate for Aarzoo and hugs her bringing smile on her face. Ram says that it was hard to work as a taxi driver as he now lives a life full of luxuries and benefits. Even taxi doesn’t have power steering and is not automatic and also hot climate. Ram speaks on the first customer who even took his wife in the car and generously paid Ram. When Kiran says that Ram drove the taxi like her late husband Rajeev, Ram speaks that the driving was hard but to get customers was not difficult. And says that Rajeev might have hard time in finding customers as he was a common man who used to drive taxi every day and also not a celebrity.
Sonali then speaks on the total amount that Ram has earned during one day which is 9,000 rupees. But there are deductions – taxi rent, CNG, police fine (200 rupees) and subtracted 1400 rupees and the net amount is 7,600 INR. She multiplies that amount by 100 to tell the final amount of 7,60,000 INR. After hearing, Kiran touches the feet of Ram with humbleness and happiness. Ram hugs Kiran bringing joy and tears of happiness on her face. She thanks Ram and Sonali for their help. Sonali wants Kiran to fulfill Aarzoo’s dreams. Thereafter, Ram speaks with Kiran and wants her to make a promise that she will never feel like loser, helpless and should not never cry as well. He wants her to be strong for her daughter-Aarzoo. She agrees and says that she will live for her daughter Aarzoo. Ram also makes a generous promise to support them by giving her the same amount of money from his side which will be equal to the amount she receives on Mission Sapne.
Ram wants Kiran to educate her daughter and to give good teachings and manners, and not worry about education as the education funds will take care of her school, college and henceforth. Sonali is humbled by Ram’s gesture to support Kiran from his side and regards that he is a bigger human being than a star and says that his gesture has brought tears to her. Ram then hugs Aarzoo again and she wants to become a doctor. Sonali says that dreams are returned and fulfilled while the ones we lost do not come back. Sonali signs off by saying – Mission will continue. Stay tuned to Mission Sapne on Colors @ 8 PM, on Sunday.
