The story is set on 31st December 2014, Mumbai. Shikha is seen alone and she speaks herself of failing and wants no new start at all. The story goes back by more than 1 month – 20th November 2014. Shikha is at her home and asks her friend whether such thing is true and congratulates her for getting a prince charming. Shikha doesn’t want to fall in love/ishq/pyaar and her friend advises her to date and find love. Shikha speaks of not liking normal guys and wants some weird guy and they share the laughter. Next day, Shikha pulls the leg of a friend (boy) in the college and calls his attitude as that of sour grapes. Shikha’s friend finds Vicky and wants to pull his leg. She bumps into him intentionally and his mobile falls down. He takes the phone and doesn’t give any attention to her. Shikha learns that Vicky is always addicted to the Internet and doesn’t have interactions in real life.
Rithvik Dhanjani (the host) speaks that the Internet have made everything so near. Vicky has made the virtual world his life and was disconnected with real world. Shikha at her end regard every work as the project and to come close to Vicky was project Vicky for her.
Shikha waits for Vicky in the evening and tries to speak with him and asks him to help her in dropping downstairs in the lift since she was carrying many books. She starts to speak a lot and introduces herself. He doesn’t speak to her and they reach downstairs and wants another favor which is they will go for coffee. He doesn’t listen to her and leaves. Later in the night, Vicky learns that he acted very rude with Shikha when she offered him a coffee date and he takes help from online friends to understand it. At her end, she finds Vicky Malhotra online profile but couldn’t get it. Later, he sends her a friend request and introduces himself and apologizes to her for being rude. He speaks of feeling awkward to talk with people. He doesn’t want to share any personal thing with anyone and just wanted to apologize. He signs off and she gets interested in him. Next day, Shikha speaks of going with Vicky for the new year celebrations. Vicky was walking close to her and she tries to greet him but doesn’t get any response. Shikha’s friend asks her to forget about going with Vicky. Later, she texts Vicky on the chat app and informs him of being very rude in the college. He speaks of having no friends in the real world and suggests that friendship is based on trust. He doesn’t want to share his personal life and she calls him strange. He informs her of not chatting again – real and online and blocks her.
Shikha thinks of an idea to create another profile and makes one cute princess and thinks that Vicky aka Silent Knight will listen to her. She sends a friend request to him. He asks whether they know each other. She replies no but will know each other and calls him intelligent since his status message is good. He replies that is a mexican proverb and he just copied. She continues to chat and wants to know how much he is intelligent. She thinks they are similar and thus wanted to talk and asks whether she is right ? He thinks they are on same page. Shikha asks first Q – which is the thing which one breaks cannot be joined. He replies trust. Next Q – Which is thing whose importance you will know once you missed it. He replies Love. Next Q – Why do we make friends ? He ponders on that question and replies that to get deceit one day from them. They continue their Q&A and she texts that he passed the test and now they can become friends. She asks whether he wants to do voice chat ? He agrees for it. They begin to have a voice chat and she speaks that they have become friends. He replies that she has become his friend and not from his side. She suggests that they can drink beer at their respective ends and toast each other. Both say cheers and drinks it. They continue to chat for many hours in the following days.
On another occasion during chat, she speaks of an interesting game and he asks what to be done. She replies a story has to be developed. She will say one line and he will say the other, and so forth. She speaks of the life of Mr. Cool who had a girl friend and then the twist comes when his GF used to love someone else. On that note, Vicky gets reminded of his own story via Flash back on how his GF dumped him for his best friend. He tries to confront his friend but his GF supports him. She calls Vicky as her ex-BF and excuses herself. Vicky comes to present and lost in thoughts while Shikha thinks it as a super twist. Shikha speaks that Mr. Cool got hurt much and he left the college. Vicky says that Mr. Cool even left the city and have started living alone and calls the end. Shikha says that its not the end there is more to the story.
Rithvik (the host) speaks that Shikha was knowing why Vicky acts in that way and to unearth she decided to play a game via story and found more info on his story. Vicky opened up with Shikha about his life and was feeling happy. He was not chatting with other online friends and just used to wait for cute princess.
Shikha calls him a helpless guy and her sister thinks that she is in love with him. Shikha wants to make sure that Vicky goes out and socialize but doesn’t know about love. She also suggests that he is not a project for her and instead a friend. Vicky was anxiously waiting for cute princess aka Shikha and finds her offline. He becomes a bit dejected and soon finds her online. Shikha comes 10 mins late and arrived online at 11:40 PM and he speaks of anxiously waiting for her. Shikha asked him whether they can do a video chat and he readily agrees after some thoughts. She gets worried since he listened to him so easily and decides to put a mask. He does the same and hides his face with a mask. Both continues their video chat and she proposes a virtual date and suggests they can go to 2 different cafes and chat there. He thinks on not getting ready for the virtual date. She informs him of going and he can do whatever he prefers. Next day, Shikha and Vicky by coincidence comes to the same cafeteria. They begin chatting and he sits behind her without being oblivious of her presence. He speaks of feeling that she is very close to him. She asks him to chill and enjoy the coffee. He thanks her for the amazing date. She asks if he wants they can go on a real date. He replies that they can do such thing later. Soon, she finds him sitting there and asks him to end the relationship with the Internet. He becomes nervous on that note. Later in the night, Shikha meets her friend and asks Priyanka for the new year passes and suggests that she is in love and thinks even Vicky is in love. She wants to confess her love not as cute princess but as Shikha.
Rithvik (the host) speaks that Shikha has realized her love for Vicky and he also used to love her. But the problem is the secret behind their hidden identities. That secret can drift them apart completely.
Shikha and Vicky are on video chat with their respective online IDs and he informs her on how Shikha told him to end his relationship with the Internet and smiles. She hesitantly says that Shikha was true and suggests he needs to come out of the virtual world. He replies on not getting trust with the real world people. She asks for how long he will stay behind the mask. He replies that even she is wearing a mask. She replies on having guts to remove that mask and goes on to remove it. He finds Shikha as the cute princess and shouts at her for breaking his trust. She speaks of not having any other way to remove him from the virtual word. She speaks of him being her project in the start but gradually have fallen in love with him and is the truth. She thinks that he can have his point of view and if he sees with a mask then everything will look deceit but if you remove the mask then you can see love. She asks him for a date at the new year party and will wait for him at the venue and asks him to come there if he can. Vicky is very upset and continues to remain angry with her. The 31st December 2014 day arrives and Shikha is waiting for him at the new year’s party venue and also drunk. Vicky is pondering and then decides to open up and even changes his profile photo with real identity. Later, he comes to meet Shikha at the party. Shikha is puzzled to see him and then realizes his presence and showers a warm hug with smiles. She confesses her love with I love you Vicky. He also says I love you Shikha and both becomes lovestruck. The story ends on that happy note.
Rithvik speaks that the new year brings a new start and have also brought Shikha and Vicky together and gave them a new vibrant start. Rithvik wishes everyone a Happy New Year and suggests its time to forget and forgive and we should ask for happiness.
