Everyone wants to lose weight and look young and great. But things don’t always go as planned. Most of us tend to get tired of strict diets and workout sessions. So, healthy eating is one of the best things you can do to prevent and control health problems such as heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and cancer.
Few healthy lunch recipes one can follow twice a week for weight loss
1. Chickpeas with Spinach: In a pan, put 1 tsp of olive oil, 1 chopped garlic, 2 bunches chopped spinach, and stir for a minute and close the lid. Simmer for 5 mins. Now add 3 tbsp chickpeas, 1/2 cup boiled chicken pieces, salt, and pepper, 1 tbsp vinegar. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.
2. Spiced Chicken Salad: In a bowl, take 1 cup lettuce, 1/2 cup chopped cucumber, 2 chopped tomatoes, 1/4 cup spring onion, 1/2 cup boiled chicken, mix well and keep aside. In a separate bowl, put 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 garlic clove, 1/4 tsp black pepper powder, 1/4 tsp mustard seeds powder. Mix all the ingredients and mix with the first bowl. Your yummy and healthy dish is ready.
3. Green Moong (Green gram) and Vegetables: In a bowl, boil 1 cup of water. Add 1/4 cup of soaked green Moong in boiling water and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Drain the water and keep it aside. In a separate pan, add 1 tsp of olive oil, 1 chopped onion, 1 chopped carrot, 1/2 chopped capsicum and stir well. Add 1 tbsp water and cook till the vegetable becomes soft. Add salt and pepper, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp coriander and cumin powder, and add 4-5 boiled boneless chicken pieces and mix with the vegetables. Add lemon juice and saute for a minute. Mix the green Moong mixture to this mixture and serve hot.
