StarPlus airing Yeh Rishta delayed Closures nil for prime Star Plus has been the first channel to run out of the new episodes of the prime time shows. The channel has tried to bring the mythological shows, along with some old classics. Star Plus has put the shoots on hold due to the ongoing pandemic situation. The viewers are given a new dose of entertainment by the new show Maharaj Ki Jai Ho and also a popular web show Hostages, starring Ronit Roy and Tisca Chopra as the leads.

Maharaj Ki Jai Ho is a finite series of 50 episodes, now airing on weekdays at the prime slot of 9 pm. Hotstar specials Hostages is airing at the prime slot, along with few repeat episodes of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Kartik and Naira’s story was going to resume before the lockdown closure.

The actors playing Kartik and Naira, Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi were reported to shoot individual segments at home to come up with the new episodes for the show in a way that the story progresses from the point where it stopped in the March 25th Episode. The show was assumed to resume in April first week, but it doesn’t seem to come back in May as well.

The lock down extension ends the hope for the new episodes to air for Yeh Rishta fans. Star Plus was also supposed to launch the new show Anupama in March. The show wasn’t ready with the initial episode bank and got pushed back. Anupama will resume once the shooting begins and the continuity can go on smooth for entertaining the fans well.

Like Colors’ mini segments of the prime show’s fresh episodes with the lead characters trying to entertain the viewers, Star Plus too can begin with the video call interesting clippings of Kartik and Naira, to add up to the fresh airing on the channel.

Luckily, there is no closure as of now for any of the show on Star Plus, like Sony is in news for getting Beyhadh and other shows axed due to the lock down. Zee TV may also shut Kabeer and Zara’s love story Ishq SubhanAllah once the normal airing of the prime shows resume.
