Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD crosses 600 cr mark. Kalki 2898 AD’s box office numbers on day 23 continue to soar, with the Prabhas-led film crossing the Rs 600 crore mark. It now stands as the third most successful movie for the actor, following behind only his previous blockbusters. The sci-fi epic, directed by Nag Ashwin and featuring an all-star cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone, is only a mere Rs 38 crore away from overtaking Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan in terms of lifetime India net collection.

On its 23rd day, Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD earned a net collection of Rs 2.65 crore, contributing to its overall collection of Rs 602.1 crore. Despite minimal competition from films like Sarfira and Indian 2, which failed to garner audience interest, Kalki 2898 AD continued to dominate the box office with a majority of viewers turning up for the evening and night shows rather than the morning and afternoon ones.

The film initially opened at an impressive Rs 95.3 crore net on June 27 and has maintained its stronghold ever since. Vicky Kaushal’s Bad Newz has made an impressive debut, earning Rs 8.5 crore and becoming his highest-grossing opener. As a result, Kalki 2898 AD, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone, may see a decrease in showtimes and audience due to the popularity of Bad Newz.

However, there are no major releases in other regional languages currently competing with the film at the box office. It remains to be seen if Nag Ashwin’s film will surpass Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan. Moreover, the film has already crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark worldwide.
