Durga 17th September 2024 Written Update:
In this dramatic narrative, Panibai reflects on her strained relationship with Bapusa, acknowledging that everyone in the house knows the truth about them but chooses to act as if they don’t. She harbors deep resentment toward Savitri, who consistently disrespects her, and silently vows to take revenge for these continuous insults one day.
Meanwhile, Vikram, Anurag’s father, is seen addressing a gathering, urging them to vote for him and directing them to Rajesh for help if needed. However, the crowd expresses dissatisfaction with Rajesh, accusing him of neglecting their problems and even physically assaulting them when they approach him with complaints. Rajesh arrives and confronts the crowd, but Vikram quickly pulls him aside for a private talk. Rajesh warns Vikram about Durga’s growing influence and advises him to be cautious moving forward.
Later, Savitri mockingly suggests that if Panibai were married, she would give her Prashad and Sindoor. In response, Panibai retorts that if she were married, Savitri wouldn’t have her Sindhur either. Panibai reminds Savitri of the times she took care of Bapusa when he was ill and resolved conflicts, particularly after Vikram accidentally shot Durga’s father. A flashback shows this moment when Vikram’s actions enraged the Kabela people, threatening to burn down the Haveli. Panibai stepped in to diffuse the situation, taking responsibility for Durga and ensuring peace.
In the present, Durga is seen walking with Anurag, too tired to continue. Anurag lovingly carries her on his back. Meanwhile, the women of the Rajvadi family leave a ceremonial Diya in the river, and Anurag and Durga wade into the water to retrieve it. This marks a significant shift, as the story then leaps 15 years into the future, showing both Anurag and Durga as adults.
The next morning, Indira asks Anurag’s mother for her soup, and Durga offers to get it from the kitchen. Anurag, excited, learns from the college that Durga has topped the district in her exams. He eagerly shares this news with everyone. Indira, while drinking her soup, inquires about Durga’s exam results, but Durga claims she hasn’t checked them yet. Panibai intervenes, dismissing the idea of Durga continuing her education, citing her Kabela roots as the reason she shouldn’t study further. When Durga questions this reasoning, Panibai lashes out at her for speaking up. Anurag’s mother pulls Durga aside and advises her not to argue with Panibai, though Durga insists on standing up for what is right. Anurag’s mother admires Durga’s boldness.
In another incident, Panibai discovers that Savitri sent a servant to fetch flowers without consulting her, which angers Panibai. She lashes out at Savitri, asserting that she is the one who makes the rules in the house. Meanwhile, Durga silently vows to put an end to all this injustice someday, determined to change her fate.
