Vijayendra Kumeria-Kritika Singh Yadav’s Deewaniyat Set to Go Off Air. In a surprising development, recent media reports reveal that Vijayendra Kumeria and Kritika Singh Yadav’s show Deewaniyat is set to go off air soon, barely two months after its premiere. The fast-paced and competitive nature of the television industry, with shows facing stiff competition for viewership, has become increasingly evident as many shows are unable to maintain audience interest and ratings.
Despite the show’s initial promise, Deewaniyat has struggled to meet viewer expectations, and its TRPs have shown little to no improvement. The show recently secured a low 0.7 points on the TRP charts, which is reportedly a key factor in the decision to pull the show off air. Though no official confirmation has been provided by the channel or the actors as of now, the decision does not come as a huge surprise given the show’s ongoing struggle to attract a steady viewership.
Deewaniyat stars Vijayendra Kumeria and Kritika Singh Yadav in the lead roles, with Navneet Malik also appearing in a parallel lead before exiting the show. The show is produced by Shaika and Cockrow Films, the same production house behind Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein. Both Kumeria and Yadav have previously been part of other successful projects—Kumeria starred in Teri Meri Doriyann with Himanshi Parashar, while Yadav was part of the popular Dharampatnii alongside Fahmaan Khan. Despite their past successes, Deewaniyat failed to strike a chord with the audience, and now, it seems the show will be short-lived.
