Kumkum Bhagya going off-air: Confirmed or fake Rumors? Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya, one of the longest-running shows on the network, may soon be coming to an end, with reports suggesting it could go off-air in February 2025. Premiering in 2014 and produced by Ekta Kapoor, the series has seen three significant generational leaps, initially starring Sriti Jha and Shabbir Ahluwalia as Pragya and Abhi, and later transitioning to Mugdha Chaphekar and Krishna Kaul as Prachi and Ranbir in the second generation.
The current storyline now focuses on the third generation, with new characters like RV and Purvi adding complexity to the plot. RV has quickly gained popularity with his sharp, sometimes ruthless persona, while Purvi, has also emerged as a pivotal character, entangled in the growing drama surrounding the younger generation.
Rumors indicate that Kumkum Bhagya may be replaced by a new show starring Shabbir Ahluwalia, also produced by Ekta Kapoor. This speculation follows Zee TV’s recent decision to end another hit show, Kundali Bhagya, which had been on air for seven years. Adding to the uncertainty, Prachi and Ranbir, portrayed by Chaphekar and Kaul, have seemingly exited the show, fueling further speculation about its closure. Although there has been no official confirmation, the show’s declining ratings and Zee TV’s recent programming changes suggest that Kumkum Bhagya may be nearing its conclusion.
Fans are left hoping for a proper and satisfying end to a beloved series that has captivated audiences for over a decade, especially with the recent developments involving RV and Purvi, who have added a new layer of intrigue and drama to the ongoing narrative.
