The story is about Meeta and Radhika. Both are good friends and work in the Indian Army at captain rank. Both go through a big change while Radhika gets promoted to the rank of Major and Meeta is going to get married and this makes them happy. Meeta gets married and soon she encounters physical and mental harassment from her in-laws and her husband who just stays as a mere spectator and doesn’t support his wife. Meeta shares her problems with Radhika and suggests on doing wrong in agreeing to the marriage. She speaks on being worried with dowry demands which are just not ending while facing harassment too. She gets teary eyed and Radhika reminds her that she is an Army officer. But Meeta replies that she is a girl to add perspective to her situation.
Radhika suggests Meeta to file a police complaint and she herself goes to confront Meeta’s in-laws. Radhika’s entry there irks Meeta’s in-laws and it so happens that they counter Radhika by complaining against her at the Army head office. Soon, Radhika comes to know of Meeta’s in-laws complaint from her superior and gets shocked. She gets teary eyed with the unjust meted out at her and also at Meeta. Both Radhika and Meeta are going to say Halla Bol to fight against the malice of dowry harassment and emerge victorious in their fight to prove that girls are not lesser than anyone [Ladkiyan Kam Nahi]. What made Meeta to keep silent with her in-laws harassment at the on-set ? Why Meeta’s husband didn’t provide her much needed support ? How Meeta and Radhika got inspired in their fightback?
