The story is about Meera, a young & courageous girl and her fightback. Meera goes to a small town for completing a special course and finds accomodation at Minara girls hostel. Rana and his men pass comments on Meera from distance and she isn’t aware of them. They harass girls of the hostel and Rana -the head wants to harass the new entrant Meera, and carries not so good intentions. Meera comes to know of some girls facing harassment and soon wants to help a girl. But Rana stops Meera on her way, and tries to scare her after giving his introduction. Later, Meera meets the harassed girl, and asks the girls in the hostel on why they are keeping quiet. She suggests that goons like Rana can be found in thousands in thousand such streets and corners.
Meera was on her way some time later and Rana’s men stops her and starts teasing. She retaliates by giving a slap to one of Rana’s men and runs from them. The men chase her and after running some distance Rana gets holds of her, and suggests she cannot escape now. Meera gives a fitting reply to Rana and asks him the question is not where and how she is going to escape but rather on how he is going to escape alongwith his men ? Meera with her undying human spirit and courage consolidates all the girls of the hostel in saying Halla Bol to teach a lesson to Rana and his men.
They march ahead to file a complaint against Rana and his men for harassing girls, and doing eve-teasing, and proved to all that girls are not lesser than anyone. What made Rana & his men to harass girls at the hostel in their small town ? Why police didn’t kept an eye on eve-teasing and stop harassment of those girls ? How Meera united all the girls in doing fightback for gender equality and self-respect ? Stay tuned to Halla Bol this Sunday @ 6 PM on Bindass TV.
