Anupama 4th April 2022 Written Update Wedding plan After returning from Anuj’s house, Bapuji, Anupama, Kinjal, Samar and Mamaji get shocked seeing Baa sitting with a lot of cash, cheque books, passbooks and jewelry. Bapuji asks Baa what is all this. Baa replies that it’s their status. She tells Bapuji that even well to do families go broke in a girl or woman’s marriage. Baa also tells Bapuji that they are already poor/broke and has only this available with them. She tells Bapuji that they won’t he left with anything, if he will spend it all on Anupama’s marriage.
She reminds Bapuji that Vanraj and Paritosh’s business is in loss, they can’t be so desperate to rely on Kinjal’s income and Samar’s income isn’t enough. In a taunting tone Baa asks Bapuji to spend everything on Anupama’s marriage but keep some money to have poison. Baa says it’s better to die, instead of begging in front of someone after Anupama’s marriage. Her words shock everyone. Baa says it’s the truth of the house. She asks Anupama to remember that Bapuji would incur a huge loss after spending in her marriage and won’t be able to come out of this loss, his whole life. Baa says Shahs will drown in debt.
Baa leaves asking everyone to do as they wish to, as it was her duty to show them the truth, which she showed them. On the other hand, Anuj explains to Devika his desires to have a grand and lavish wedding. He says that God is in his team and thus helped him get such a big contract, so that he would be able to fulfill all his lavish wedding dreams without any problem. Devika smiles seeing Anuj’s happiness. At Shah house, Anupama tells Bapuji that Baa said everything right as Shahs will go into a big debt, if he organizes her marriage.
She tells Bapuji that she and Anuj can do court marriage and take vows in a temple in a simple way. Anupama says she can wear any of her old good looking saree and Anuj looks like a hero in every outfit he wears. She tells Bapuji that he will just have to buy a little vermilion. Anupama explains to Bapuji that Baa was wrong yesterday but she was saying the truth today. Anuj on the other hand, asks Devika to ask her designer friend to make matching outfits for him and Anupama, so that it could become such a lavish wedding that whole Ahmedabad wouldn’t have ever witnessed something like this.
Devika tells Anuj that she will manage everything as she is a guest as well as a family member. Back at Shah house, Anupama says marriage should be the happiest moment of life. She says in our culture, weddings have been the biggest burden for the bride’s father. Anupama also says that it becomes almost impossible for a middle class father to do both, get his daughter married and build a house in one life. She says even if someone doesn’t demand dowry, marriage expenditure is not a piece of cake. Anupama also says that it becomes an important formality for the bride’s family to spend on all functions of marriage as well as on gifts for the groom’s close as well as extended family.
She further says that a bride’s father weeps again seeing his passbook after getting his daughter married. Bapuji tells Anupama that this is what every father desires for. Anupama tells Bapuji that these desires shouldn’t turn into compulsion. She says a father can spend much, if his family is capable of it but their family isn’t capable enough. Anupama explains to Bapuji that Vanraj and Paritosh are not settled yet and Samar hasn’t yet started contributing in house expenditure as he is not earning enough yet. She asks Bapuji why to burden the family, knowing all this. Anupama also asks Bapuji to save what all he has as she and Anuj can do a simple wedding.
She tells Bapuji that she has finally decided to do a simple wedding. On the other hand, Anuj tells Devika that his and Anupama’s wedding videos will go viral on the internet. Anupama’s supporters explain to her that it will be Anuj’s first wedding and he will surely have big desires for his wedding. They also explain to Anupama that for Anuj his marriage with her will be the biggest event of his life and he will surely wish it to be a grand wedding. Anuj on the other side requests Devika to give him her advice and inputs for the wedding. Devika calmly explains to Anuj that Anupama would want to keep this marriage a low key affair, because of society’s issue of “Dadi ki Shadi, nahi hoti” and also because it’s her second marriage.
Anuj feels upset hearing this. Devika asks Anuj to do whatever he wishes to but make sure that Anupama doesn’t get uncomfortable. At Shah house, Paritosh tells Vanraj about his school and childhood friend, who got settled in America with his whole family years ago. He also tells Vanraj that his friend’s father has a big business setup in America and they can talk to him and ask for help. Paritosh further tells Vanraj that he will try to bring his friend home, so that he would be able to convince him to help them. Kavya overhears everything and thinks that Vanraj and Paritosh get excited over small things as no one helps anyone just like that.
But later she hopes Vanraj and Paritosh get successful in whatever they are thinking. Anupama recalls how Anuj welcomed her respectfully at his house and his excitement about their marriage. She also recalls Baa’s words about wedding expenditure. Anuj on the other hand also recalls Devika’s words about how Anupama will want their marriage to be a low key affair because of society’s orthodox thinking. Anuj receives Anupama’s calls and tells her that he wants to meet her. On other hand, Vanraj and Paritosh discuss that they should get a proposal ready for Yash (Paritosh’s friend), portraying that they have investors but they haven’t responded yet. Paritosh also tells Vanraj that they will make their proposal ready as per global market point of view as Yash’s company is US based. They hope no new problem arises now.
Anuj and Anupama meet each other at dance academy. Anuj tells Anupama that he knows that Bapuji wants a grand wedding for them but he only wants her. Anupama asks Anuj if he is fine with simple court and temple marriage. Anuj replies yes. Anupama angrily asks Anuj why he always agrees to sacrifice his happiness. Anuj gets shocked witnessing Anupama’s anger. Anupama tells Anuj that she wasn’t there in her first relationship and now she feels that he (Anuj) isn’t there in their relationship. She requests Anuj to express his desires for marriage, instead of always doing what Anupama wants. Anupama tells Anuj that it’s not important to always work according to her, even if he loves her a lot.
Anupama tells Anuj that compromising your own wishes for others isn’t love. She says, true love is to respect each other without an agreement. She requests Anuj to tell her if he doesn’t agree to something she said. Anuj tells Anupama that she has a lot of issues. Anupama asks Anuj what about his desires. She tells Anuj that issues always arise in weddings in every home. Anupama says one needs a grand wedding while another wishes to have a simple wedding. She tells Anuj that it is indeed about money but more importantly it’s about dreams. Anuj reminds Anupama that the only dream of his life was to marry her. He says he could have adjusted a little if he had any other dreams but marrying her is his only dream.
Anuj also says that having only one dream, he should at least live that in a grand way. He tells Anupama that since their wedding discussion started, he just started wishing for best DJ, best music, best venue, designer sherwani and designer lehenga. Anuj says he wishes for everything like music, lighting, wedding procession and mehndi etc. He tells Anupama that he thought that he would need all these. Anuj explains to Anupama that every time he closes his eyes for the last 26 years and whenever he dreams, he only sees her and not the grand things he wants for his marriage.
Both Anuj and Anupama grow emotional. Anuj tells Anupama that he only needs “his Anupama” wearing a simple saree and vermilion of his name. Anupama tells Anuj that he became a great person once again. She requests Anuj to tell her just once, what kind of wedding he desires. Anuj tells Anupama that his heart talks about expensive things. He says he will have to repay his wedding loan for the rest of his life, if he listens to what his heart says. Anuj tells Anupama that he won’t take a single penny from Bapuji as he is taking away his most prized possession (Anupama).
He tells Anupama that he has got a huge contract and will get the money soon. Anuj tells Anupama that she doesn’t have to worry even a bit as they will do their best with whatever money they have. He also tells Anupama that they will hire everything best and perfect by setting. Anuj explains to Anupama that Samar will be their choreographer, Devika-dress designer, Bapuji-event planner and Kinjal will be DJ. He also explains to Anupama that Mukku can become their wedding planner, GK-photographer and Mamaji can handle catering. Anupama and Anuj laugh together when the former says that no one will get food if Mamaji will be the caterer. Anuj asks Anupama to not take tension as Mamaji will surely remember their wedding.
Anuj asks Anupama to promise him that no ritual would get missed or left behind in their wedding. Anupama promises Anuj that she will take care of it. Anupama tells Anuj that Devika has added her in the MaAn wedding group. Both Anuj and Anupama together tell everyone in the group that they have decided to do a middle class style wedding. They say that they have decided to do a wedding with less expense and more love.
In the next episode, Paritosh’s friend will see Anuj dropping Anupama at Shah house. They will tease Paritosh telling him that soon he will have two fathers as his mother is getting married to her boyfriend, Anuj. Paritosh will beat his friends, telling him that it’s not funny. Anuj and Anupama will try to stop and calm Paritosh. Paritosh will scream telling Anupama that now this will happen daily. He will also tell Anuj and Anupama that the whole family will suffer all this forever because of their marriage. Anupama’s eyes will get filled with tears.
