Yeh Rishta 9th May 2022 Written Update Akshara grand entry Akshara walks down the aisle towards Goenkas, Birlas and guests. Akshara (Naira’s mother) and Naira’s aisle walk is also shown. Three generations are shown in one frame. “Hamari Banno Pyari” song plays in the background. Everyone gets mesmerized seeing Akshara in bridal wear. Abhimanyu wipes his tears. Akshara gets a grand bridal entry and smiles in happiness. Swarna Abhimanyu, Manjiri and Manish get emotional. Akshara sings an emotional and beautiful song for Abhimanyu. She even caresses Abhimanyu and thanks him for entering her life.
Everyone claps for Abhimanyu and Akshara. Abhimanyu tells Akshara that she and her surprise both are awesome. He shows Akshara that he has also got “Akshu Kaa Abhi” written on his marriage Pagdi cloth. Akshara gets surprised and happy seeing this. Suhasini asks Abhimanyu and Akshara to make each wear wedding garlands (Varmala). Abhimanyu and Akshara stand in front of a giant heart shaped structure, covered full of flowers. Kairav and Vansh pick up Akshara to trouble Abhimanyu. Parth and Neil also pick up Abhimanyu to help him make Akshara wear the wedding garland.
Both Akshara and Abhimanyu finally make each other wear the garland. Everyone showers flower petals on Abhira (Abhimanyu and Akshara). Birlas and Goenkas congratulate each other, saying that the wedding’s first big and important ritual got completed. Suhasini says that there is much time left in wedding vows (pheras). She asks Birlas to perform any ritual if they want to. Suhasini also says that even children can play or do whatever they want to in the meantime. She says once anyone sits in pooja/veneration, then they will have to sit for a long time. Neil says they don’t know about any other rituals but won’t let the bride’s brother and sister do whatever they have planned about.
Aarohi asks Neil what he means. Neil tells Aarohi, Vansh and Kairav that they won’t be able to find Abhimanyu’s shoes. Vansh asks Neil if they brought the groom (Abhimanyu) to the wedding venue with shoes. Everyone laughs hearing this. In a lower voice, Akshara tells Abhimanyu that she forgot about the shoe stealing ritual. Abhimanyu tells Akshara that he just wants to concentrate on them. He tells Akshara that he is feeling upset as everyone else will enjoy their marriage, while they will just sit and get smiling photographs clicked. Abhimanyu says even he wants to steal shoes. Akshara asks Abhimanyu if he will steal his own shoes. Abhimanyu says he will steal someone else’s shoes and Akshara laughs.
Abhimanyu asks Akshara if she doesn’t want to do all this. Akshara tells Abhimanyu that for her, wedding vows are important. Abhimanyu tells Akshara that wedding vows are most important for him today. Aarohi tells Neil that they didn’t plan on stealing Abhimanyu’s shoes and doesn’t have any interests in doing all this. She asks Abhimanyu’s siblings to hide Abhimanyu’s shoes safely in the varmala box/bag and hang it’s keys around their necks if they want to fulfill their desires. Akshara and her siblings laugh at Abhimanyu’s siblings. Parth asks Akshara’s siblings if they even don’t have interest in shoe stealing ritual.

Vansh says shoe stealing ritual is very old and overrated and should get banned. Abhimanyu’s siblings get shocked. Manish asks Akshara and Abhimanyu to get their photographs clicked as they won’t get time later on. Abhimanyu in a lower voice asks Neil to keep fun in his marriage, even if Goenkas doesn’t do anything for fun. He says he would have himself done this but it won’t suit him as he is the groom. Abhimanyu’s siblings and Shefali sign and assure Abhimanyu that they will make his marriage fun. In a lower voice, Akshara asks her siblings why they refused to do the shoe stealing ritual as it would have been interesting and fun.
Aarohi in a lower voice, tells Akshara that they have planned to secretly perform the shoe stealing ritual. She warns Akahara to not reveal their plan to anyone. Vansh asks Akshara to silently get photographs clicked with Abhimanyu. He tells Akshara that Abhimanyu’s shoes will vanish as soon as Birla siblings’ attention will get diverted. Akshara wishes, “All the best” to her siblings. Abhimanyu and Akshara leave to get their photographs clicked. After some time, Abhimanyu feels tired and irritated. He asks Akshara to ask the photographer to make it quick or end it as smile turns fake after some time. Akshara asks Abhimanyu to smile wholeheartedly.
Akshara and Abhimanyu make a heart from their hands to pose for couple photographs. Abhimanyu asks the photographer to make it quick as his jaw is aching now. Akshara tells Abhimanyu that her jaw as well as feet are paining as she has worn a 15 kgs lehenga. Abhimanyu asks Akshara, who asked her to wear such a heavy lehenga. He tells Akshara that she would have looked this beautiful even in a simple and less weighted lehenga. Akshara tells Abhimanyu that he wouldn’t have expressed any issues, if she would have come wearing a night suit. Abhimanyu teases Akshara telling her that even he didn’t think about it till now. He thanks Akshara for fueling his thoughts.
In front of everyone, Neil tells Akshara that like her family applied tika to Abhimanyu, he also wanted to apply tika to her but couldn’t do it at the same time. He asks Akshara if he can apply tika to her now. Parth praises Neil’s thinking. Abhimanyu tells Neil that he never knew, that he respects and loves Akshara this much. Neil tells Abhimanyu that he loves Akshara very much, but just can’t show it. He says he can just say that Akshara is his “Sita Maiya” and he is her “Lakshman”. Neil asks Akshara to take out her sandals as he will wash her feet as well as perform her tilak too. He winks at Nishtha and the latter winks back at him. He secretly pushes Akshara’s sandals towards Parth and Parth hides them behind him.
Neil naughtily applies tika on Aarohi’s forehead. Aarohi asks Neil what he is doing, Akshara is his sister-in-law, she isn’t. Neil tells Aarohi that she is Abhimanyu’s great sister-in-law. He also tells Aarohi that she and her siblings were right that the groom’s show-stealing ritual has gone old. Neil says Birla siblings are gensy and will do opposite to whatever is actually done. He also says now Birla siblings are setting a new trend. Neil further says that now instead of the groom’s shoes, the bride’s sandals will be stolen. This shocks everyone. The Goenka siblings realize the Birla siblings’ plan. Parth and Nishtha show Akshara’s sandals to her. Anand praises Neil for his smartness. Neil says thank you.

Abhimanyu praises Neil for his acting. Aarohi says this is cheating, not acting. She says Neil deceived his to-be sister-in-law. Neil says he didn’t deceive Akshara as he will wash her feet as well as ward off evil eyes from her. After this, Neil performs Akshara’s Aarti, washes as well as dries her feet, making her emotional. Everyone feels proud of Neil. Neil teasingly tells Akshara that she won’t get her sandals back. He also tells Akshara that her sandals are amazing and might cost about Rs. 20,000. Akshara tells Neil that it’s nothing like that. She requests Neil to return her sandals. Neil tells Akahara that sandals will be returned only when their price will be recovered by him and his siblings.
Aarohi reminds Neil that he addressed himself as Lakshman and is now cheating. Neil tells Akshara that he will remain her Lakshman forever but today he is from Team Ram (Abhimanyu). Aarohi says then she and her siblings will also steal Abhimanyu’s shoes. Neil asks her to go ahead and tells her that Abhimanyu and other boys don’t have any interest in wedding mojaris. Abhimanyu says he feels uncomfortable in mojaris and wants to take them off right now. This shocks Goenka siblings. Neil says girls show interest in accessories and love them. Akshara tells Neil that he is right. She requests Neil to return her sandals, otherwise her photos won’t come out good. Akshara says she can even fall down due to her long lehenga.
She requests Abhimanyu to say something. Abhimanyu apologizes to Akshara and says his mouth is zipped. Neil and Abhimanyu teases Akshara. Parth says to make it easy for Akshara, they will auction Akshara’s sandals at a higher price than the original. Nishtha says Rs. 50000, Neil says Rs. 250000, Shefali says Rs. 500000. Akshara gets shocked. Shefali says that the bride won’t wear any other sandals at her wedding and it’s matching too. She asks everyone to recover a good amount of money. Parth increases the price to Rs. 1000000. This price shocks everyone. Akshara tells Abhimanyu that he isn’t helping her and her family, even a bit.
Abhimanyu tells Akshara that he is enjoying it. He also tells Akshara that it’s Abhira’s wedding and something unique should happen in it. Abhimanyu says he won’t stop anyone as he is having fun. Birlas says they are enjoying such a different and fun ritual. Suhasini and Swarna inform everyone that Pandit Ji is calling for wedding pooja and wedding vows. Abhimanyu and Akshara stand up to walk towards their mandap. Akshara tells Abhimanyu that her lehenga will be torn if she falls while walking without her sandals. Manjiri requests Neil to return Akshara’s sandals to her. Akshara requests Neil to do the same. Abhimanyu’s siblings request Manjiri to not do this to them. Neil asks Akshara to think of some other way to reach mandap.
Nishtha tells Akahara that they stole her sandals by much effort and can’t return them to her easily. Abhimanyu tells Akshara that he can only help her in reaching the mandap, not in getting her sandals back. He picks up Akshara in his arms and takes her to the mandap. Akshara and Abhimanyu’s past flashbacks are shown. Everyone follows the bride and groom to the mandap and claps for them. Suhasini asks Pandit Ji to start wedding veneration. Pandit Ji asks the groom and bride to take their places. Abhimanyu and Akshara sit at their places on the mandap. Swarna and Manish discuss that a good partner makes life easy. Manish says he is sure that Abhimanyu and Akshara will pass through everything good and bad.
In their thoughts, Abhimanyu and Akshara tell each other that it was what they were waiting for since a long time. In the next episode, Pandit Ji will ask Akshara’s parents to come forward to perform Akshara’s “Kanyadaan”. This will make Goenkas emotional. Kairav will come forward. Emotional Akshara will tell Pandit Ji that her brother will perform her Kanyadaan. Emotional Kairav will perform Akshara’s Kanyadaan. Akshara and Abhimanyu will be seen taking wedding vows (pheras).
Some guests will tell Harsh and Mahima that they just got to know that Abhimanyu’s wife isn’t a doctor herself. They will say that Abhimanyu is a brilliant doctor and could have got many brilliant doctor brides. Mahima and Harsh will tell guests that Abhimanyu did love marriage and love is blind. One of the guests will say that Abhimanyu might not have wanted his wife to be a doctor as it turns out as competition living in the same house. Harsh will tell the guests that Akshara never tried to become a doctor and rejected all the offers that came to her. Akshara will unintentionally overhear Harsh and Guest’s conversation and get shocked.
