Yeh Rishta 13th May 2022 Written Update Upsetting first day Akshara thinks it’s Neil’s planning to fool her. She thinks all family members might be hiding somewhere nearby. Abhimanyu asks Manjiri where are their other family members. Akshara asks Abhimanyu to get quiet and not ruin the surprise by revealing it. Akshara’s expectation worries Manjiri and Neil. Akshara smilingly tells Abhimanyu that everyone must be hiding to surprise them. Manjiri tells Akshara that only she and Neil are at home at present. She also tells Akshara that she understands her expectations. Manjiri further tells Akshara that everyone was ready to welcome her but had to leave to attend the emergency at the hospital.
Abhimanyu says he heard that school students from the school situated near their hospital suddenly suffered food poisoning. He says he understands Mahima, Harsh, Anand and Shefali’s absence but what about Nishtha and Parth’s whereabouts. Neil tells Abhimanyu that Nishtha went to meet her friend who met with an accident. He says Parth has gone to the secretariat as uncle sent him there. Abhimanyu asks Neil why it’s dark inside the home. Neil tells Abhimanyu that there is no electricity at home and the battery of the inverter is dead. He says they have sent someone from the staff to get the inverter recharged.
Akshara feels upset and everyone notices it. Manjiri says she is starting aarti. Abhimanyu asks Manjiri to just do his Tilak. He says his and Akshara’s aarti will take place but before that he needs to fix something. Saying this Abhimanyu goes inside the house. At Goenka house, Vansh asks if anyone has an idea about how many days leave Abhimanyu took from the hospital. Aarohi tells Vansh that doctors don’t get much leaves. Swarna says Abhimanyu would manage to get leave as it’s his family hospital. Kairav says Abhimanyu himself won’t go anywhere, leaving Akshara. Vansh says Neil told that Abhimanyu planned a lot for their Akshu. Everyone smiles in misconception.
On the other hand, Abhimanyu lightens his house with all servants’ help. All servants stand with torches in their hands. Abhimanyu apologized to Akshara. He tells Akshara that in their family profession, patients are given priority over anyone else. He apologizes to Akshara for saying all this to her on her first day at his house, instead of welcoming her. Abhimanyu says a patient’s life has the right before anyone else’s desires, in a doctor’s life. He tells Akshara that he hopes she will understand. Akshara signs in yes. Abhimanyu apologizes to Akshara and requests her to smile.
Akshara smiles for Abhimanyu. Manjiri performs Akshara and Abhimanyu’s aarti. Akshara pushes the rice kalash and enters Birla house as Abhimanyu’s wife and Birlas daughter-in-law. She hugs Manjiri. Manjiri tells Akshara that she accepts that there were a lot of shortcomings in her welcome. She assures Akshara that she won’t find any shortcomings in their love. Akshara tells Manjiri that she knows and understands it. She thanks Manjiri. Akshara finds preparations made for her welcome and post marriage rituals kept at the table prepared. She requests Manjiri and tells her that she wishes to perform all these post marriage rituals with the whole family later on.

Manjiri thanks Akshara for understanding the Birlas’ situation and for showing maturity. She asks Abhimanyu to take Akshara to his room as she must be tired. She asks Akshara to change and relax/rest a bit. Neil says till then Manjiri will prepare Akshara’s welcome dish. Everyone leaves. Abhimanyu tells Akshara that he wishes to take her to their room in his arms but her lehenga is even heavier than her. He says he has no energy left after carrying her once. Akshara tells Abhimanyu that she can carry him to their room, if he wants it. Abhimanyu tells Akshara that he is a heart surgeon, not a spine surgeon. He asks Akshara what he will do, if she will hurt her back in the process of carrying her.
He tells Akshara that walking romance is enough. Akshara and Abhimanyu discuss taking a shower, changing, relaxing and talking together. Akshara tells Abhimanyu that he will have to open her hair. Abhimanyu says fine as he has no other work. Akshara reminds Abhimanyu that he said that after marriage, he will ask her for something. Abhimanyu tells Akshara that he will tell her later on as they will be together day and night from now onwards. He also tells Akshara that he has kept a surprise welcome gift for her inside their room. Before Abhira can enter their room together, Abhimanyu gets an emergency call about his critical patient.
Akshara sends Abhimanyu. Abhimanyu leaves, thanking Akshara for understanding him. Akshara makes herself understand that her first day isn’t more important than anyone’s life. She enters her and Abhimanyu’s room alone. Akshara tries to calm herself and takes off her chunari and some accessories. At the same time, she gets Kairav and her whole family’s video call. She wipes her tears and then receives Goenkas’ call. On her family’s questions about post marriage rituals, Akshara says her post marriage rituals will take place later on. She explains to her family that she should understand the fact that she got married into a family full of doctors and for them their patient’s lives are top priority.
Akshara tells Goenkas that everyone went to attend emergency cases. Suhasini and Kairav say how can Birlas leave their new daughter-in-law alone on her first day of her married life. Akshara tells Goenkas that Manjiri is with her and is cooking a special dish for her. She also tells Goenkas that she will get welcomed properly when everyone returns home. Akshara assures Kairav that she is fine and happy as she is getting time to relax and rest. She disconnects the call saying that she wants to change and will call later. Goenkas feels upset and bad for Akshara.
At Birla house, Akshara cries her heart out. She says she isn’t upset but feeling a little bad. Akshara tries to calm herself. At Goenka house, Vansh and Kairav say this is wrong happening with Akshara. They discuss that at least Abhimanyu should have stayed with Akshara. Kairav says work is fine but someone’s dreams and desires also matter. He says such important days don’t come again. Manish says even if someone loses their life, they won’t get it back. He asks his family to think about Abhimanyu too, not only Akshara. At Birla house, Akshara tries to make herself understand that she should be happy as her Abhimanyu, isn’t being selfish and has gone to save someone’s life.

She makes herself understand that Abhimanyu’s patient as well as his family would bless her and Abhimanyu only. At Goenka house, Manish says everyone earns money everyday but it’s very rare they get a chance to earn/get someone’s blessings. Akshara makes herself smile by reminding herself that she is Abhimanyu’s wife now. On the other hand, Aarohi shows reluctance, when Harsh asks her to report to her senior immediately as her patient, Mr. Ramani’s son is critical. Aarohi reminds Harsh that she doesn’t work at Birla hospital anymore. Harsh tells Aarohi that she will have to attend to Mr. Ramani’s son as he was her patient earlier and it’s her responsibility now.
Aarohi thinks about how she will report to Abhimanyu as this case is under him. Manish convinces Aarohi to go and fulfill her responsibility. Aarohi decides to move on and focus on her career, keeping her personal as well as personal life separate. At hospital Abhimanyu feels guilty and apologetic towards Akshara. At Birla house, Akshara finds Abhimanyu’s gift bracelet and finds it very beautiful. She wears it on her wrist. She feels lonely without Abhimanyu. On the other hand, Aarohi reaches the hospital and recalls Harsh’s instructions about Mr. Ramani’s son (her patient).
Harsh asked Aarohi to remember that the patient has a drug allergy, because of which they won’t be able to prescribe him many medicines. Aarohi replies that she will be careful. At Birla house, Akshara discovers that Birlas talk to each other on the/through intercom. She places Kartik and Naira’s photograph/photo frame on the bedside table. After this, she checks her as well as Abhimanyu’s room. At the hospital, Abhimanyu is seen attending a critical patient. Both Abhimanyu and Akshara miss each other.
At Birla house, Manjiri and Neil are seen feeding Golgappas to Akshara. Akshara says it matches her taste. Manjiri tells Akshara that Abhimanyu in advance told her how spicy, tangy and sweet golgappa water she likes. Neil jokes making Akshara and Manjiri smile. As Akshara gets Abhimanyu’s call, Neil and Manjiri leave to give them their space. Akshara asks Abhimanyu if he is fine. Abhimanyu tells Akshara that he is fine but just a little tired. Akshara apologizes to Abhimanyu for not being able to be helpful to him in this matter. Abhimanyu apologizes to Akshara for leaving her alone on the first day of their married life.

Akshara tells Abhimanyu that she is comfortable at home, instead he is tired. Abhimanyu tells Akshara that he didn’t get free till now. He tells Akshara that he is busy monitoring Mr. Ramani’s case as he is very serious and suffered a lot of complications in his last surgery. Akshara asks Abhimanyu to drink more water than coffee as he should not get dehydrated. Abhira disconnects the call asking each other to take care of themselves. Abhimanyu gets shocked to see Aarohi arriving towards him in a surgeon’s uniform.
In the next episode, Manjiri will tell everyone that Akshara made her “pehli rasoi”. Akshara will say that she made sabudana kheer. Harsh will make a bad face and say yikes. Later, Manjiri will run behind Harsh to stop him, asking him to have breakfast. Harsh will rudely ask Manjiri to not make him angry. Abhimanyu will angrily ask Harsh to talk to his mother with respect. Harsh will tell Abhimanyu that he is talking to his own wife, not his mother. He will also ask Abhimanyu to mind his own business. Abhimanyu will say this is only his business and duty. Harsh will ask Manjiri to see the way her son, Abhimanyu talks to his elders. He will also tell Manjiri that today Abhimanyu is talking in a disrespectful way, soon Akshara will do the same in future. Akshara will stand stunned seeing Abhimanyu and Harsh’s bitter equation.
