She explains that this might have been the reason behind them giving her medicines, as she had been shouting in protest. However, when the opportunity presented itself, she dashed for freedom though she was feeling drowsy due to the effects of the drugs. In response to Pakhi’s query of who had rescued her from there, Adhik informs that it was Malti Devi who had set her free and Romil behind this heinous act to exact revenge on them. Upon hearing this news, Pakhi is taken aback while Vanraj and family members arrive at the scene to check up on her.
Vanraj inquires about how she is faring and beams with relief upon noting that all is alright. Ankush attempts to protect Romil, arguing that it was not deliberate. Vanraj counters that prison will teach him a lesson. Samar points out that Pakhi considers him as her brother and asks how a brother could do such things. Vanraj asserts it is a heinous offense. Romil clarifies he was just joking around and had no idea of the consequences. Vanraj insists that he goes with them to the police station, but Ankush tries to stop him. Vanraj reflects on what he has gone through in the past two days, so Ankush apologizes for his behaviour.
Despite this, Vanraj stresses that proper punishment must be granted to Romil. Ankush apologizes to Vanraj and Anupama, assuring that Romil will no longer repeat his mistake. Romil also extends an apology, declaring his innocence in the matter of Pakhi’s hurt. To this, Adhik retorts that Romil deserves imprisonment. Anuj queries if Adhik should not be held accountable either. Anupama states that just as Romil cannot acquit himself from blame, neither can Adhik.
Subsequently, Malti Devi arrives questioning Pakhi, and Anupama proceeds to introduce herself. As Malti Devi is incapable of recognizing her, Anupama reveals her identity. Anuj informs Anupama that they can shift Malti Devi to a hospital; however, his preference is for her not to remain with them.
