Kumkum Bhagya 13th October 2023 Written Update Mihika’s plan. As Mihika embraces Ranbir, Prachi attempts to depart, only to have her hand grasped by Ranbir. Akshay intervenes and escorts Prachi away. He then requests for her to sit down. Feeling remorseful, Mihika expresses how Akshay tends to disregard others’ advice and only follows his wife’s words. She reveals how he retracted his complaint upon Prachi’s plea and assures Ranbir that everything has been resolved now. Akshay expresses concern about the current situation, requesting Ranbir to bring baraat for his upcoming marriage with Mihika. He warmly welcomes Ranbir but asks that he not stay at their house until the wedding. Mihika wishes for Ranbir to remain with them, especially for her daughter Khushi who is injured and needs a father figure.
Akshay realizes his error and apologizes to Ranbir, thanking him for protecting their family. Alone in the darkness, Akshay ponders while Mihika approaches and inquires about his decision to let Ranbir stay. He explains that he felt outnumbered by his family’s opposition. Mihika suggests that sending Ranbir home would allow her to take care of him and keep Prachi at a distance. Akshay agrees with her reasoning and shares his need to carefully consider his next steps before asking for some time alone. Mihika then asks him to include her in his plans next time, to which he agrees and offers the same in return. Unbeknownst to them, Ashok overhears their conversation.
Ashok contacts the doctor and informs them about a recurring issue. After listening, the doctor advises Ashok not to worry and prepares him for the possibility of sending Akshay and Mihika back to their previous location from 7 years ago. Interested, Manpreet inquires about the conversation with the doctor, to which Ashok relays the details. Ranbir enters Prachi’s room and finds her and Khushi asleep. Mihika witnesses Ranbir heading towards the room as he leaves medication on the table before departing. Meanwhile, Akshay is also present in the room and joins Prachi’s side after Ranbir’s exit. Expressing his love, Akshay promises to care for her every day.
Mihika approaches Ranbir and embraces him. She confesses that she feels like she’s losing everything and begs him not to leave. Ranbir reminds her that they have already discussed this, but Mihika resorts to emotional blackmail by mentioning Ashok’s potential heart attack if their marriage is broken off. She pleads for Ranbir not to punish Ashok for her mistake. In response, Ranbir urges Mihika to calm down and assures her that he will find a solution. Unbeknownst to them, Ashok overhears their exchange. Eventually, Ranbir suggests that Mihika go get some rest.
The following morning, Ranbir and Prachi both head to the kitchen for their respective tasks. Concerned for her health, Ranbir urges Prachi not to prepare breakfast. However, she insists that she has already taken care of it and asks him to leave. Ranbir then reminds her not to use too many spices in the Paratha, to which Prachi agrees, knowing his preference for milder flavors. Unbeknownst to them, Mihika overhears their conversation and decides to sneakily change the spice levels. When Prachi steps away to answer a call, Mihika seizes the opportunity and adds an excessive amount of chilli powder into the Aloo Paratha.
Khushi tells the Tandon family how Ranbir rescued her and Prachi. Akshay interrupts by dropping his glass, apologizing for stopping the story. Prachi then arrives with breakfast and serves it to Ranbir. Mihika warns him not to eat it as it may be spicy. However, Ranbir reassures her that Prachi knows he doesn’t like spice. Prachi confirms this as well. After tasting the food, Ranbir realizes it’s too spicy for him. In an attempt to cool it down, Prachi tries to feed him some sugar. This causes a disagreement between Mihika and Prachi, resulting in Mihika pushing her away.
