Shalu and Bani are overcome with emotion thinking about Lakshmi’s condition and the doctor’s words when Ayush arrives and urges them not to lose hope. Shalu scolds him, reminding him of what the doctor said, but he assures her that Rishi’s love will bring back Lakshmi’s health. Bani and Shalu exchange a hopeful nod as Ayush walks to the window and suggests they focus on something else for now. This puzzles them, so they ask Ayush what he means. He angrily vows to find the person responsible for Lakshmi’s condition and do whatever it takes to bring them to justice. Shalu reassures him, expressing her faith in Ayush.
Unknown to them, Malishka overhears their conversation while passing by and feels a surge of anger, deciding to teach Ayush a lesson. Stopping Lakshmi from undressing in front of him, Rishi instructs her to wait while he fetches her a fresh set of clothes. With a bright smile, Lakshmi playfully remarks on his treatment of her like royalty and ponders if he will follow her every command. Looking into her eyes, Rishi assures her that he will do exactly as she says, and Lakshmi feels grateful for his devotion. She asks for his promise and he gladly gives it, hoping it will jog her memory. As she goes to change, Rishi holds up a photo from their wedding day and reminisces fondly.
Speaking to the picture, Lakshmi expresses how strange it is to be physically present with Rishi yet feel so far apart emotionally, tears welling in her eyes. Just then, Lakshmi’s return draws Rishi’s attention away from the photo and fills him with joy. Meanwhile, Malishka meets with Karishma and reveals Ayush’s plan to uncover the truth behind Lakshmi’s situation, causing Karishma great concern for her son. Ayush encourages Bani and Shalu to trust in Rishi’s ability to take care of Bani. He advises them to approach the situation with a positive mindset and have faith in Rishi. Ayush reassures them that Neelam will eventually accept Lakshmi as her daughter-in-law, and her current behavior is just a reaction to the circumstances. Meanwhile, Malishka overhears their conversation and whispers about dealing with Ayush for being in her way. At the same time, Rishi surprises Lakshmi with some delicious food, which she eagerly assumes is for her. Rishi humorously informs her otherwise, but then reveals that all the food is meant for her and proceeds to take her to wash her hands.
Malishka believes that Ayush poses no threat to her as he lacks evidence against her. At the same time, Karishma arrives and informs Malishka that Neelam is unwell, despite which she is fasting for Virendra. Meanwhile, Lakshmi is throwing a tantrum. Malishka defends Lakshmi in front of Karishma but sees an opportunity to use this situation to her advantage. She goes to Lakshmi’s room and stops her from eating. Rishi becomes upset and asks Malishka to let go of Lakshmi’s hand. However, Malishka tries to manipulate Rishi by pointing out that Lakshmi did not fast for him. She argues with Rishi while Lakshmi listens in on their conversation. In the meantime, Harleen enters Neelam’s room and offers her juice, but Neelam refuses, claiming that she is feeling well and will only break her fast if necessary.

Lakshmi turns to Rishi for clarification on Malishka’s statements, while Karishma grumbles to Neelam about Lakshmi. However, Neelam advises Karishma not to expect Lakshmi to fast as she is unwell. Meanwhile, Rishi reveals that Malishka suggested that if Lakshmi fasts for him, his age would increase. As a result, Lakshmi decides to refrain from eating. Rishi believes it’s a connection of souls, while Maliska shares the events with her parents. In another part of the house, Rishi checks if the moon has appeared yet and Ayush interrupts and playfully urges Lakshmi to fast for him. Rishi recounts what Lakshmi told him, prompting Ayush to compliment Rishi on having a wonderful wife like Lakshmi. Flushed with happiness, Rishi notices Lakshmi approaching the terrace and she asks about Ayush’s words. Quick on his feet, Rishi manages the situation and sends Ayush away while Lakshmi requests swings from him.
