Bhagya Lakshmi 22nd December 2023 Written Update. Rishi follows Lakshmi as the nurse locks her in a room. Shalu and Bani are saddened by Lakshmi’s forced removal by the asylum personnel. Ayush approaches them and discovers that Lakshmi was taken away by the police to the mental asylum. He asks how they knew Lakshmi was here, to which they respond that it never crossed their minds. Ayush finds out that Rishi went after Lakshmi and offers to help him. Shalu and Bani wonder who could have alerted the mental asylum authorities. They notice Balwinder leaving from there, leading Bani to suspect that Rano may have teamed up with Balwinder to inform them about Lakshmi’s whereabouts.
Shalu believes Balwinder may be responsible for notifying the mental asylum staff. The asylum doctor contacts Malishka via video call and reveals that Lakshmi is currently in their care. Concerned, Malishka requests that the doctor ensure Lakshmi cannot escape again. The doctor gives Malishka his word that he will handle the situation. He also mentions beginning Lakshmi’s specialized treatment to drive her further into madness starting tomorrow, which brings great satisfaction to Malishka. She believes everything is going according to her plan. Meanwhile, Ayush calls Virendra to inform him that Lakshmi has been taken by the police to the mental asylum. Shocked, Virendra asks how this could happen.
Ayush replies that he is unaware of the details. Harleen overhears and asks Virendra for an explanation. He solemnly reveals that Lakshmi has been taken to the mental asylum, causing Harleen to faint in distress. Ayush approaches Rishi and receives a concerning message. He explains that it would be risky to attempt to rescue Lakshmi at the moment due to the heightened police presence. Rishi, visiting the temple, questions Maata Rani about permitting Lakshmi’s mistreatment. He pleads with Maata Rani to intervene for the sake of her devoted follower, Lakshmi. In a desperate attempt, Rishi persistently rings the temple bell. Meanwhile, trapped inside, Lakshmi continuously calls out for help but remains unheard and longs for Rishi’s presence.
Shalu and Bani confront Rano, accusing her of conspiring with Balwinder for financial gain and sending Lakshmi to a mental asylum. Rano defends herself, claiming she hasn’t seen Balwinder in a while. However, Shalu and Bani remain skeptical and decide to gather evidence. Ayush intervenes, warning Rishi that his actions will only cause him harm. But Rishi dismisses his concerns, insisting that he is simply awakening Mata Rani who may be asleep. Ayush suggests they leave the premises, pulling Rishi away. Meanwhile, Lakshmi becomes frightened by a cockroach and recalls how she previously escaped her confinement. She decides to take the same route again to escape. In another part of the house, Sonia brings sweets to Neelam and Karishma, celebrating Lakshmi’s transfer to the mental asylum. Virendra overhears this and becomes upset.
