He reminds her that she should not worry about his happiness and understand that his feelings for her are sincere. Palki shares her concern that he might only be marrying her because he proposed while intoxicated and doesn’t fully trust her. Rajveer reassures her that this is not the case. As Palki storms off, Rajveer follows behind, leaving Varun to question Kavya about their argument. Kavya explains that they are still getting to know each other in their new relationship. Varun’s parents commend Kavya for maintaining grace under pressure.
Bani Dadi notices Rakhi’s worried expression and inquires about it, but Rakhi simply shakes her head. Nidhi informs Dadi about Rakhi’s fight with Karan and Kareena fills in all the details. Dadi apologizes to Rakhi for not being honest about Preeta’s past and expresses her belief that Preeta is bringing bad luck upon them, so it would be best if she stayed away from the Luthra house. Pandit Ji informs Karan that they are ready to begin the engagement rituals. Karan nods in agreement but realizes that Shaurya is nowhere to be seen. Sandy notices Shaurya’s tense expression and asks him what is wrong.
Shaurya explains that Karan seemed scared, which was a first for him. He urges the locksmith to work quickly, as they need to make a duplicate key. The locksmith responds that it will take time, but still proceeds to open the cupboard. Sandy pays the locksmith and dismisses him from the room. As Shaurya gazes at Preeta’s photo in the cupboard, Girish informs him that he is needed by everyone else. Pandit Ji instructs them to bring the engagement rings. Kavya notices that Rajveer and Palki have yet to make amends. She comes up with an idea, suggesting that Rajveer dance with Palki on her behalf. Rajveer gracefully takes Palki’s hand, and they dance together. In his dream, Karan also dances with Preeta.
The performance concludes, and Nidhi announces that it is time for the engagement. Following Pandit Ji’s instructions, Kavya and Varun exchange their rings. They lovingly place the rings on each other’s fingers before embracing tightly. Similarly, Kavya embraces her family while Varun hugs his family and the Luthras. With the engagement ceremony now complete, everyone bids farewell as the function comes to an end. Rajveer arrives at his home to find Preeta waiting for him. She wakes up at the sound of his entrance and explains that she knew he would come back late due to attending his sister’s engagement.
He confirms that he did indeed attend the event and excuses himself to change. Preeta embraces him, checking if he has been drinking. Rajveer notices her caution and inquires about it. She reminds him of the harm drinking can cause and warns that if he ever indulges again, she will not forgive him as easily as before. With a gentle smile, she urges him to go rest since tomorrow is Maha Shivratri. Palki expresses her concern to Shanaya that Rajveer never confides in her about his issues. In response, Shanaya advises Palki to end her relationship with Rajveer.
