Jhanak 9th April 2024 Written Update Jhanak questions Anirudh. Shubh informs Anirudh about Anjana’s argument like always. Anjana accuses him of lying in front of everyone. Appu declines the offer for food, as Anirudh had already ordered it for himself, Jhanak, and her. Anirudh clarifies that he was the one who had ordered the food. Bipasha points out that Jhanak never mentioned it to them. Jhanak explains that she didn’t realize it was important to inform them. Arshi questions why Anirudh came home early. He responds saying, “Do I really need to explain why I came back to my own home?” Arshi persists, stating that he should have informed her since she was not expecting anyone at home.
Anirudh raises his voice and calls out her name in frustration. She asks him why he is shouting and why he came back early. He responds by saying, “Yes, we are getting married and you seem to be controlling me.” He continues by expressing his disappointment at needing anyone’s permission and wonders why no one bothered to inform him over the phone about their absence at home. Tanuja chimes in with a reminder that someone might have called him. Appu shares that Jhanak’s hand was hurt and bleeding and Anirudh had kindly tended to her wound. Due to the injury, Jhanak was unable to eat with her hands and tried to stop anyone from noticing. Tanuja then asks who fed her the food, but Appu hesitates as she fears getting scolded.
Shubh reassures Appu and encourages her to share the truth. Arshi also presses Jhanak for an answer, specifically questioning if Appu fed her. Appu denies this, saying that she cannot feed herself and it was actually Anirudh who fed her. Everyone is stunned by this revelation as Bipasha scolds Jhanak for not being honest. However, Appu adds that Jhanak also fed food to Anirudh, causing a shocked reaction from Arshi and the others in the room.
Arshi inquires about Anirudh’s hand. He responds by saying it’s nothing serious. Anjana reprimands Appu, who then explains that she understands what happened – Anirudh fed Jhanak the food. Anirudh adds, “Does anyone have something to say?” Shubh speaks up and points out how Jhanak has always caused problems in the family. He reminds him of his upcoming marriage and advises him to mentally prepare himself for the future and not dwell on the past. Jhanak chimes in, stating that she will never return to this house, tired of the constant insults and taunts. Appu goes to get some food from the fridge and accidentally drops some boxes, catching Anirudh’s attention. He hurries to check on her, bumping into Choton along the way.
The two of them enter the kitchen where they find Appu enjoying ice cream. Anirudh tries to scare her playfully, causing everyone to burst into laughter. He turns on the lights and brings her ice cream. Upon seeing the melted treat, she becomes upset. Choton reassures her that everyone will wake up if she continues crying. Anirudh then presents a new cone of ice cream to her. She questions why he didn’t get one for Jhanak, fearing that she would feel hurt. Choton agrees and asks why he didn’t get it for her. Appu chimes in, mentioning Arshi and Shrishti’s plans to marry Jhanak off to an old man. Confused, Choton asks what is being said. Anirudh asks if he is not aware of the situation.
Choton admits he was not and Anirudh proceeds to fill him in on all the details. Shocked, Choton wonders why he didn’t put a stop to it. Anirudh explains that he couldn’t interfere as Jhanak had already consented to the marriage out of a sense of duty. Concerned for Jhanak’s future, Choton suggests breaking off the marriage but Anirudh reminds him it’s not their decision to make as they can’t teach others about love and responsibility. Choton expresses concern that her life will be greatly affected. Anirudh suggests abducting her as a means of ensuring her safety. Choton inquires about alternatives, as she sees no other solution. Choton reassures everyone that they will come up with a plan.
Anirudh completes his workout as usual. Jhanak joins him and asks to speak with him. Reminding him of the Ashirwad rasam and her upcoming marriage, she mentions returning his gifts. He dismisses her suggestion, but she insists on explaining herself. Not wanting to offend or waste his kind gesture, she proposes keeping some items and giving the rest to Appu. Anirudh refuses, assuring her that he will handle it with her parents and ensure she wears the clothes he has given her. Jhanak appreciates his thoughtfulness but feels guilty accepting so much from him. She tries to leave but Anirudh stops her, expressing concern over her well-being and warning against trusting the wrong people.
Despite feeling grateful for his support, Jhanak decides to distance herself from Anirudh out of respect for their relationship boundaries. Jhanak inquires of Anirudh why he puts so much thought into her. She declares that she will leave, so there is no need for him to worry about her. As a result, he becomes melancholy.
