The story is about a married couple Avanti and Rajeev. Both of them work at the same company and the appraisal time is around the corner and Rajeev thinks on getting promotion and good performance appraisal report. He plans to fulfill the dreams of Avanti with his promotion. However, the appraisal and promotion rewards Avanti and she is promoted instead of him and he becomes surprised. Moreover, Rajeev is alloted to work under Avanti in her team. All such developments didn’t go well with Rajeev as he feels jealous and also insecure to be working under her. To add more insult to his injury, other colleagues poke fun and also taunts him asking who is the boss at home. He gets much annoyed and shouts at them.
Later, Rajeev starts treating her badly and shows his displeasure both visibly and also by his action. He tells her at home boldly that if she loves him then she will leave the job and remain only as his wife. She raises an important argument – What-if the promotion has gone to him ? He doesn’t have a good answer as reply. Finally, Avanti was compelled to take a call on the matter and she decides to not accept any bias and indifference from her husband and said Halla Bol to define that girls are not lesser than anyone. What made Rajeev to develop jealousy for his wife Avanti ? How Avanti took Rajeev’s taunts and ill-treatment in her stride ?
