Anupama Namaste America 5th May 2022 Written Update Visa stamped passport falls from Anupama’s hand. Vanraj picks it up and asks Anupama, from where she found it. Anupama tells Vanraj that she got the visa. Vanraj pretends to check the passport and tries to fool Anupama by telling her that it’s not a Visa stamped passport. Anupama tells Vanraj that Dolly showed her on the laptop, what a Visa looks like. This shocks Vanraj and he tells Anupama that he meant to say that she got the Visa. He keeps pretending innocence and asks Anupama how her passport came in his suitcase.
He tells Anupama that either Leela or Moti Baa would have kept her passport here. Vanraj says the important thing is that the passport is found. He asks Anupama to keep her passport safely as it will come in handy, if she ever gets a second chance to visit America. Vanraj finds it difficult to talk to Anupama by meeting her eyes. He tells Anupama that he would have completely shattered if his dream to go to America would have shattered, like hers. Vanraj says women are made of a different material. He tells Anupama that women always prioritize their family above their dreams.
Vanraj asks Anupama to see that she rejected going to America for their upcoming baby. He tells Anupama that her face didn’t even frown by making such a huge sacrifice. Vanraj says women are above these little dreams and ambitions. He says women are goddesses. Anupama stares at Vanraj with shock. Vanraj leaves to freshen up. Anupama sits down in shock and recalls Vanraj’s boss’s wife wishing to take her to the US. She also recalls Moti Baa and Hasmukh blessing her to fly and fulfill her dreams. Anupama further recalls Dolly crying in guilt and Baa asking her to forget her dream if her interview didn’t go well.
She recalls Vanraj’s trial to fool her that she mistook normal passport to be a Visa stamped passport. Anupama also recalls Vanraj himself deciding that she sacrificed her US dreams for their upcoming baby. Anupama is seen with teary and red eyes. Next morning, Leela watches Anupama preparing tea and coffee. She says Vanraj told her that Anupama got to know everything about her passport. Leela thinks if Anupama would ask, she would tell Anupama that she and Vanraj didn’t do anything. She walks in the kitchen and tells Anupama that she is helping her in the kitchen as she is going to become a mother.
Leela takes Moti Baa’s tea. Dolly asks Anupama for her coffee. Anupama gives the coffee to Dolly and the latter leaves, thanking the former. Vanraj asks Anupama to serve him tea. Everyone except Anupama sits in the living room. Hasmukh sits and says the kids reached the school on time. Anupama serves tea to everyone. Vanraj stops Anupama from returning to the kitchen and asks her to take rest. He sips the tea and tells Anupama that she forgot to put ginger in tea. Moti Baa stops Anupama from getting up and asks Dolly to boil Vanraj’s tea again by adding ginger in it. Dolly obliges. Moti Baa praises the tea made by Anupama.
Vanraj in an indirect way asks Anupama to not be sad for irrelevant happiness. He asks Anupama to enjoy the biggest happiness she got in the form of pregnancy. Leela tells Anupama that a woman’s biggest happiness is becoming a mother. She asks Anupama, why to cry for a bronze, when she is getting the gold. Vanraj tells Anupama that they could have thought of sending her to the US, if the situation would have been normal. He asks Anupama, how can they send her to the US, when she has complications in her pregnancy. Leela asks Anupama to rise above all insignificant things. She says all this is unimportant for a mother.
Leela tells Anupama that mother is a goddess. Anupama screams that she doesn’t want to be a goddess. Everyone gets shocked with Anupama’s such outburst. Moti Baa gets tensed seeing Anupama’s broken condition. Anupama runs to Moti Baa and tells her that “the world revering woman as goddess is the biggest sham”. She tells Moti Baa that she was right the other day. Anupama says women are sacrificed at the altar of their own greatness. She also says people consider women as goddesses and think that they can’t have dreams, live for themselves or feel the bad/pain.
Anupama reveals that Dolly, Vanraj and Leela lied to her and tried to stop her from going to America. She also reveals that they even hid her passport. Moti Baa hugs a crying Anupama. When Hasmukh questions Vanraj, the latter says Anupama is having a misunderstanding. Anupama says her misconception has now been cleared. She says now she understood that her own family members had deceived her. Vanraj angrily asks Anupama, what deception she is talking about. He asks Anupama, what’s the big deal if her passport went missing. Vanraj tells Anupama that her doctor told him that her pregnancy has complications.
Anupama says the doctor herself told her that she doesn’t have any complications and she can dance or do whatever she wants to do. She asks Vanraj how much he will lie. Moti Baa angrily asks Vanraj how dare he lied to her Anupama. Leela comes in between Moti Baa and Vanraj. She asks Moti Baa how it matters, if she and Vanraj lied. Hasmukh asks Leela why she is trying to save Vanraj. Leela says she is saving Vanraj because he is saving their house. Leela asks Anupama will she do anything that can be dangerous for her unborn baby, if the doctor told her that she can do anything.
She tells Moti Baa that Vanraj lied to Anupama, because he loves her. Leela says Vanraj tried to stop Anupama for her own good. Anupama asks Leela,Vanraj and Dolly, why they didn’t tell her what was in their mind. She tells Leela, Vanraj and Dolly that they should have talked to her once. Anupama angrily asks Vanraj what was the need to lie to her. Leela tells Anupama that she can’t talk to her husband in this manner. Anupama tells Leela that she has to talk to her too as she was the one who hid her passport using the advantage of everyone’s absence.
Anupama asks Dolly why she, being her friendly and sisterly figure, hid the truth from her. Dolly apologizes to Anupama and tells her that Leela asked her to hide the passport truth. Anupama asks Dolly why she agreed to Leela’s wrong plan against her. Hasmukh tells Leela that today he feels ashamed of her. Moti Baa asks Leela why she lied and deceived Anupama. Anupama tells Leela that she should have once told her wish to her. Leela angrily asks Anupama if she would have really obliged to her wish, if she would have revealed it to her.
Anupama reminds Leela that she promised her mother, while fixing her alliance with Vanraj, that she would let her complete her education. She reminds Leela that she obliged to her wish, when she asked her to not study further, after marriage. Anupama tells Leela that her mother lives in the next lane. She says she wished a lot to go to her house and meet her mother. Anupama says she missed her mother a lot. She reminds Leela that she also obliged to her wish of meeting her mother only on festivals, that too for only half an hour. Moti Baa and Hasmukh feel bad for Anupama. Anupama asks Leela why she didn’t tell her that she doesn’t want her to go to America. She asks Leela why she thought that she wouldn’t have obliged to her.
Leela screams that everyone considers only her and Vanraj as bad people. Hasmukh says, “the pot is calling the kettle black”. He tells Leela that she and Vanraj have deceived Anupama. Leela asks Hasmukh what about all those years that she suffered? She says Anupama is pretending to be the epitome of greatness. Leela asks Anupama to prove her greatness by burning her passport right now. She says Anupama freezed now when she asked her to burn her passport. Leela says to whom she would have told her wish as no one listens to her. She tells Moti Baa that she always favors Anupama.
Moti Baa asks Leela to do something to get noticed. Leela starts crying and reveals that she was about to tear Anupama’s passport but Dolly stopped her. She says that she doesn’t want her daughter-in-law to go to America. Leela says a mother-in-law has full rights to make decisions about her daughter-in-law’s life. Moti Baa asks Leela why only she has this right, why not she. Moti Baa reminds Leela that she is also her mother-in-law. Moti Baa tells Leela if Anupama won’t go to America, she won’t let her (Leela) step out of the house ever. Moti Baa asks Leela to be ready to see a mother-in-law’s power, if she herself wants to show mother-in-law’s power to her own daughter-in-law.
Leela angrily tells Moti Baa that she is the one who has spoiled Anupama by teaching her to see dreams. She says if a woman’s dreams aren’t shattered, her family will fall apart. Leela says she doesn’t want her family to fall apart. Leela reveals all the evil tricks she used to stop Anupama from going to America. She tells Anupama that only her family, kids, home and husband is her world and she will have to live in it only. Leela asks Anupama to forget that there is a world beyond her family and home. She also asks Anupama to forget her dreams. Leela angrily repeatedly tells Anupama that she must forget her dreams.
Angry Moti Baa, somehow stops herself from slapping Leela. This shocks everyone while angers Vanraj. Anupama leaves shivering and sobbing. Moti Baa tells Leela that the sky won’t fall on her, once she admits her mistake. Vanraj comes in between and tells Moti Baa that his mother isn’t wrong. Vanraj’s attitude with Moti Baa shocks everyone, except Leela. Moti Baa warns Vanraj to not interfere in between her and Leela. Everyone gets shocked hearing some breaking sound. They see that Anupama broke her ghungroos. Anupama says these are not her ghungroos but her shattered dreams, which she herself broke today.
Anupama reminds Leela that she doesn’t stop talking about broken glass for 2 years, but she didn’t even bat an eyelid, when her daughter-in-laws dreams shattered. She says she can’t complain to Leela and Vanraj as she herself didn’t shed a single tear, over her shattered dreams. Anupama says her family is more important than her dreams, because she loves her family a lot. She tells everyone that she didn’t feel that bad, when she decided to break her dreams on her own. Anupama tells Leela and Vanraj that she never imagined that they would chop her dreams and wings like this.
She asks Leela if it is a sin for a housewife to have dreams. Anupama asks Vanraj if his wife’s dreams pricks him in the eye. She asks Leela if daughter-in-law’s happiness makes her sad. Anupama asks Vanraj and Leela, why can’t she ask for 5 days from her own life. She also asks why she can’t expect her family to support her. Anupama further asks Vanraj and Leela, why it is a difficult task for them, to give her 5 days from her own life. Anupama says only for once, she wanted to visit America by sitting in an airplane, to dance on American stage and hear people’s applause for her. She says for once, she wanted to live for herself. Dolly, Hasmukh and Moti Baa grow guilty.
Leela and Vanraj remain the same. She tells Vanraj that she isn’t sad that her dreams shattered, but because he (Vanraj) shattered her dreams. Anupama tells Vanraj that she doesn’t want an apology from him but once wants to see in his eyes, if he understands her pain. Vanraj turns his face towards another side in irritation. Disappointed, Anupama goes inside her room. Vanraj thinks, what is all this drama? He also thinks Anupama will get normal, after feeling bad for a week. Vanraj further thinks that he will have to take care of Anupama and convince her as she is pregnant with his child. He wonders what he should do.
Later, Vanraj finds kids playing in his room. He sends them outside by giving them chocolates and locks the room from inside. Vanraj requests Anupama to not cry as it’s not good for their unborn baby. He tells Anupama that whatever Leela did wasn’t a conspiracy but out her nature as she cares for her (Anupama). Vanraj tells Anupama that he did all this because he got afraid thinking what if something would have happened to her in America. He tells Anupama that he and Leela didn’t deceive her but just hid the truth for himself. Vanraj tells Anupama that he has become accustomed to her and he can’t live without her.
He also tells Anupama that even other family members couldn’t have lived without her. Vanraj asks to imagine about the family’s condition in her absence. He tells Anupama that it’s a different situation now as she is having a baby inside her. Vanraj kisses Anupama’s cheek and apologizes to her for whatever happened. He tells Anupama that whatever he did, he did it because he can’t live without her. Vanraj kisses Anupama’s forehead. Shocked Anupama recalls a similar type of behavior and words of Vanraj from a few weeks ago. She feels suspicious and stops Vanraj from kissing her further. Anupama asks Vanraj that the intimate moments that happened between them a few weeks ago was his love or plan. She asks Vanraj if it was his trial to stop her from fulfilling her dreams. Vanraj gets shocked.
