Yeh Rishta 10th May 2022 Written Update Post Wedding drama Akshara and Abhimanyu’s marriage veneration starts. Mahima receives an email from some Chicago conference, inviting Mr. and Mrs. Birla. Anand says this is good news. He tells Mahima as Abhimanyu and Akshara’s wedding is almost done, now they won’t even feel guilty for attending the conference. Mahima tells Anand that not them, but Abhimanyu and Akshara got Chicago conference invite. Anand asks Mahima how is this possible as Akshara is not even a doctor. Mahima tells Anand that Akshara is a therapist and Abhimanyu must be behind getting him and Akshara invited to the Chicago conference.
Anand says this isn’t done. Mahima tells Anand that it’s just the beginning and asks him to wait and watch to see what happens in the coming future. Anand feels disappointed. Abhimanyu asks the priest why he is chanting the mantras in hurry, if he needs to go somewhere. He also asks the priest to go slow as he isn’t able to understand the meaning of mantras in speed. Everyone smiles hearing this. Neil in a low voice tells Parth that the whole world’s grooms would be in a hurry to conclude marriage rituals soon, but Abhimanyu is asking the priest to go slow. Parth laughs hearing this. Abhimanyu once again interrupts the priest asking him why he is eating/omitting mantras from between.
Everyone laughs hearing this. Suhasini asks the priest what is the haste about. Manisha tells the priest that his gift amount would depend on how well he reads the mantras. Priest continues chanting mantras. Abhimanyu for the third time interrupts the priest asking him to go slow. Priest tells Abhimanyu that he got so many people married, but no one complained to him, till now. Abhimanyu politely tells the priest that it’s his first and last marriage and he doesn’t want any errors in his and Akshara’s marriage. He requests the priest to read/chant the mantras slowly, properly, with all his heart and mind in it. Emotional Akshara wipes her tears. Abhimanyu asks the priest to make sure that it’s a perfect marriage, which goes on for births.
Akshara feels happy seeing Abhimanyu’s dedication towards their marriage. Priest signs, okay. Vansh starts planning to find Akshara’s sandals that Birla siblings stole. He explains to Reem and Aarohi where to search for Akshara’s sandals. Neil notices Aarohi, Reem and Vansh searching for something. Being doubtful, Neil follows Aarohi. He teases Aarohi calling her lizard as usual. Neil further teases Aarohi by telling Aarohi that it’s the first marriage, where the bride’s relatives/siblings are searching for her sandals. He says he feels proud of himself. Aarohi asks Neil to stop acting like a hero. Neil tells Aarohi that he has already become a hero but the bride’s relatives aren’t just accepting it.
Aarohi threatens Neil to handover Akshara’s sandals to her. She tells Neil if she finds the sandals herself, then he will get thrashed by the same sandals. Neil challenges Aarohi to find the sandals first. Aarohi says she will anyhow find Akshara’s sandals. Neil tells Aarohi that she might find Akshara’s sandals if she lowers her gaze or it’s impossible. Confused Aarohi looks down and gets shocked seeing Neil wearing Akshara’s sandals. Neil asks Aarohi if she didn’t feel doubtful, seeing his increased height. Aarohi asks Neil to take out Akshara’s sandals from his feet, otherwise they will get loose. Neil tells Aarohi that now sandals will be removed only when the deal is cracked.
Aarohi tells Neil that he won’t get any in exchange for sandals. Neil says no problem and asks Aarohi to forget about the sandals then. He stumbles while walking away from Aarohi. Aarohi comes in his way and tells Neil that he is looking more like a circus joker today. She asks Neil to walk carefully, otherwise he might fall flat on his face because of the deal. Neil teasingly tells Aarohi that she is burning in jealousy as today her “nek” (gift amount) will be given to someone else. Aarohi talks to herself and says that she will have to get Akshara’s sandals back anyhow, not for money, but pride. She wonders how. Neil overhears this and asks Aarohi to bow down and request him for Akshara’s sandals, he might give her.
Neil leaves and Aarohi feels angry. Priest asks the bride’s sister to come for “gathbandhan”. Abhimanyu feels angry but remains silent. Swarna says “gathbandhan” is usually performed by the groom’s sister. Manjiri tells Goenkas that in their culture, the bride’s sister performs the “gathbandhan” ritual. Manjiri says that she and Mahima performed each other’s gathbandhan in each other’s marriage. Mahima says she doesn’t remember it. Manjiri says Abhimanyu’s grandmother believed that the groom’s sister gets a lot of attention in weddings but if the bride’s sister performs gathbandhan ritual, she brings the father’s blessings and mother’s love along. Goenkas finds Abhimanyu’s grandmother’s thinking amazing.
Abhimanyu tells the priest that it doesn’t matter if it’s Akshara’s sister or his sister. Aarohi feels bad hearing this. Abhimanyu says that what matters is to whom he is getting married to. With Abhimanyu’s consent, the priest calls Aarohi. Aarohi finds it difficult to tie Akshara and Abhimanyu’s gathbandhan. Abhimanyu asks Aarohi to tie his and Akshara’s wedding knot (gathbandhan) properly. He also asks Aarohi to make sure that his and Akshara’s gathbandhan is tied tightly. Abhimanyu further asks Aarohi to tie gathbandhan so tightly that nobody should be able to break his and Akshara’s relations.
Aarohi leaves tying Abhimanyu and Akshara’s wedding knot. After this, the priest calls the bride’s parents for “Kanyadaan”. This makes Goenkas, Abhimanyu and Manjiri emotional. Akshara looks at Kartik and Naira’s photograph, kept near her wedding mandap. Abhimanyu holds the emotional Akshara’s hand in concern. Vansh asks Manish and Swarna to sit for Akshara’s Kanyadaan, but they refuse with teary eyes. Their refusal shocks everyone. Manish and Swarna send Kairav to perform Akshara’s Kanyadaan. Kairav sits beside Abhimanyu and Akshara. Flashbacks of Kairav and Akshara’s childhood with Kartik and Naira are shown.
Kairav and Akshara look at their parents’ photograph. Akshara tells the priest that Kairav will perform her Kanyadan. She says that Kairav has carried all her responsibilities since her parents left her. Akshara says Kairav has been her father and mother since her parents death. Kairab thanks Akshara for giving him this respect and honor. He tells Akshara that when she asked him to perform her Kanyadaan, he thought that they are very unlucky as they don’t have their parents. Kairav tells Akshara that after that he realized that he is very lucky to have a sister like her. He says he wishes that god blesses a sister like her to everyone.
Kairav caresses Akshara like an elder brother and father. Then he starts performing Akshara’s Kanyadaan by giving her hand in Abhimanyu’s hand. Priest asks Akshara and Abhimanyu to start taking wedding vows (pheras). Suhasini, Swarna, Manjiri and Manish explain to Abhimanyu and Akshara the importance and meaning of all wedding vows. With this Akshara and Abhimanyu complete their wedding vows (pheras). After pheras, Abhimanyu fills Akshara’s hairline with vermilion. Shefali asks to clean the vermilion fallen on Akshara’s nose. Suhasini says no. She explains that if vermilion remains on the hairline/hair parting, it signifies happy married life. Suhasini further explains that if vermilion falls on the nose, it signifies deep love.
Abhimanyu tells Suhasini that he loves Akahara so much that even the whole box of vermilion falling on her nose would be less in comparison to his love. He signs Akshara to fill his hairline with vermilion. They recall one of their past incidents related to vermilion or tika. Akshara feels shy but applies vermilion near Abhimanyu’s hairline. When Suhasini asks Akshara why she did this, Abhimanyu says he made Akshara do it. He says even he is getting married, not alone Akshara. Abhimanyu also says that for Akshara his life’s safety is important and for him his Akshara’s life’s safety is also important.
He asks why only women wear vermilion and nuptial chains to make their husbands feel special. Abhimanyu says men should also do something special to make their better half (wives) feel special. He indirectly tells Akshara that she is special to him. Mahima feels irritated while others feel emotional with Abhimanyu’s words and actions. Priest asks Abhimanyu to make Akshara wear the nuptial chain and Abhimanyu obliges. Everyone claps for the bride and groom. Suhasini makes Akshara and Abhimanyu perform some more rituals. Abhimanyu and Akshara perform this ritual and make lifetime promises to each other. They promise love, trust, growth and respect towards each other as well as their families. In the next episode, Neil, Nishtha and Manjiri will dance to the song, “Wah Wah Ramji, Jodi Kya Banaai”.
In the next episode, some guests will tell Harsh and Mahima that they just got to know that Abhimanyu’s wife isn’t a doctor herself. They will say that Abhimanyu is a brilliant doctor and could have got many brilliant doctor brides. Mahima and Harsh will tell guests that Abhimanyu did love marriage and love is blind. One of the guests will say that Abhimanyu might not have wanted his wife to be a doctor as it turns out as competition living in the same house. Harsh will tell the guests that Abhimanyu never tried and rejected all the marriage proposals that came to him. Akshara will unintentionally overhear Harsh, Mahima and Guest’s conversation and get shocked.
