The family had struggled much to get him found by the rescue team, but assume that the dead body found is of Karan. The Luthras mourn for Karan. Prithvi tells Sherlyn that when the Luthras learn about Preeta’s pregnancy, that Preeta is carrying the child of their deceased son, they will pamper Preeta and love her a lot, Preeta will get back the lost place, she will enjoy their service. Sherlyn tells him that they will tell the Luthras that the baby belongs to someone else, its not Karan’s baby. Prithvi likes her idea. Mahesh and Rakhi suggest that Rishabh marries Preeta to support her. Rishabh tells Mahesh that Preeta is Karan’s love, its not possible for him to marry her. He denies the marriage proposal. Earlier in the show, Karan gets attacked by the crocodile, which bites his leg. The family watches this in pain. They see the blood appearing on the lake surface. They all collapse in pain. Inspector calls the rescue team. Natasha and Roxy reach their house. Sherlyn slaps Natasha and rebukes her for killing Karan. Roxy tells that they were going to frame Preeta and Rishabh, but Prithvi failed their plan, he exposed their truth, they have to leave the city tonight to get saved from the murder case. Sherlyn asks about Prithvi. Natasha tells that he might be at is home. Sherlyn gets Prithvi’s message and leaves. The Luthras cry for Karan. Inspector brings a bad news. He tells that they found a dead body in the lake, he wants them to identify the body. Preeta denies Karan’s death.

Inspector asks the family to see the dead body and the belongings they found to verify if its Karan. The family loses courage. Bani steps ahead and checks the wallet. She sees Karan and Preeta’s picture and screams. She cries for Karan. The family can’t accept the harsh reality. Rakhi sees Karan’s watch and recalls that Rishabh had gifted him the watch. They identify Karan’s accessories. They realize that the dead body is of Karan. They cry profusely. Rakhi screams aloud. Preeta goes to see the face of the deceased. Doctor asks her not to see the damaged face, because she won’t be able to see it. Preeta still proceeds to see. She gets scared seeing the damaged face. She falls back and breaks down. Shrishti hugs her. The Luthras perform the last rites of the deceased. They cry for Karan. Rishabh and Mahesh burn the pyre. Preeta stands in shock.

The family returns home and sheds tears of sorrow and pain during the mourning ceremony. Mahesh tells that Karan left them, he didn’t die alone, but killed the family too. He adds that they can’t manage anything on own. After a short leap of one month, Luthras are seen sunken in sorrow. Preeta takes care of Mahesh and Bani. Sameer tells them that he got Karan’s video. The family gets active and wants to see the video. Sameer plays the video on the TV. They see Karan’s video and get a smile on their face. They get emotional and cry when they miss Karan. Karan asked them to remember him with love and happiness when he isn’t around, they should never get sad. Karan gives them an emotional message through the video.
The family misses them deeply. They try to smile for Karan’s sake. Rakhi consoles Preeta, and asks her to keep a smile on her face. She tells that they will remember Karan and keep a smile on their faces. Preeta suddenly faints down. The family worries for her. A doctor arrives in time and examines Preeta. Preeta gains consciousness. Doctor gives them the good news of Preeta’s pregnancy. The family didn’t expect this miracle to happen. They realize that their Karan is coming back to them. Rakhi hugs Preeta. She asks Preeta to not cry from now and take care of her baby happily. Sherlyn gives the shocking news of Preeta’s pregnancy to Prithvi.
She tells that Preeta is clever, she is playing a game to fool the Luthras and secure her place. He asks her why is she doubting Preeta. She tells that she knows Preeta well, she is lying. She informs him that she has hired a cook in the Luthra house, who gives her all the news. Prithvi tells that Luthras are emotional fools, they will get at Preeta’s service. He doesn’t know how to take revenge on Preeta. She tells that they will tell that the baby isn’t of Karan, but someone else, but the family won’t believe this.

He tells that if they prove that Preeta is carrying someone else’s child, then it will be a big shock, Luthras will throw Preeta out of the house. He loves the idea. He tells that he will prove Preeta wrong and get her ousted from the family. She calls him a big fool to take a wrong move. The family pampers Preeta. Shrishti and Biji meet Preeta, and find the Luthras at her service. Biji ties the black thread to Preeta’s wrist, to protect Preeta and her baby. Shrishti gives them sweets. Prithvi reaches there. He enters the house and congratulates Preeta. Rishabh and Sameer stop Prithvi and ask him to leave. Prithvi tells that its time that Preeta tells the secret. Rishabh asks what is he saying.
Prithvi shockingly claims that Preeta is carrying his child in her womb. Rishabh bashes him up. Preeta asks Prithvi what nonsense is she saying. Prithvi tells Rishabh that he doesn’t know anything because he wasn’t there. Rishabh rebukes him. Prithvi tells that its his child, he was shouldering Preeta when Karan was fighting with her, she used to cry on his shoulder, and one night she has come close to him, she is pregnant with his child. Preeta breaks down. She tells the family that Prithvi is lying, its Karan and her baby. The family believes Preeta, and finds her in much pain. They also cry along with Preeta. Prithvi succeeds to ruin their happiness, and fills tears in their eyes. Rakhi hugs Preeta and consoles. Rishabh throws out Prithvi from the house and shuts the door.
