Anupama 1st September 2023 Written Update Kavya’s story. Anupama suggests that Kavya should go to her room. Kavya then shocks everyone by announcing that this baby is hers, not Vanraj’s. Leela is taken aback and asks her to explain slowly. Vanraj orders her inside, feeling ashamed of the situation. Anupama mulls over the severity of the recently revealed truth and wonders what will come next. Leela expresses their shock at not being informed about it earlier. When probed further, Kavya reveals that this baby is a result of her relationship with Anirudh as everyone gasps in disbelief.
Leela recounts being elated upon hearing of Kavya’s pregnancy. But as the days went by, this turned into a sense of betrayal and Hasmukh was filled with sadness, questioning why he had to go through such a long life. Leela reproaches Kavya for bringing her sinful act to their doorstep. Anupama tries to console Leela but this only serves in vain as Leela laments that their family respect has been reduced to nothing. She bemoans the fact that when a woman commits an offense, her entire lineage is affected.
Anupama insists Kavya should be given the chance to explain her side of things; she posits that they would never have known had Kavya not confessed. Leela asserts that they should still show her respect for speaking the truth, referring to Satyavati’s marriage with Shantanu in the Mahabharata. Anupama then states her case that although Leela is angry, she should still listen to Kavya. To this, Leela responds by accusing Anupama of betraying her by hiding this from her and quizzes Vanraj on why he too had kept quiet.

Leela roundly condemns Kavya for causing her elderly parents so much pain. Vanraj queries Kavya: are you pleased now? You have heaped your guilt upon them. Kavya pleads that the load was too great for her to carry. To which, Vanraj remarks that was the penance she should have borne. Samar asks Vanraj if he has accepted Kavya’s child. Leela answers a no without hesitation. He reasons that they should either have been informed then or not said anything now. Dimpy gets a chance to taunt Leela. She asks Leela to look at her granddaughter and daughter-in-law having an affair outside of marriage. Leela orders Dimpy to be silent.
Kavya admits her mistake and Leela calls it a sin. She orders Kavya to leave, but Anupama defends her. She points out that Kavya is still the bahu of the house and cannot be thrown out like this. When Leela insists, Anupama questions why her son’s mistake could be forgiven but not Kavya’s. She tells Leela that her son’s crime is no less than Kavya’s and yet he was not asked to leave the house. Anupama asks the family not to blame Kavya and accept the baby. She says that if anything happens to the baby, then they can’t forgive themselves ever. The Shah family is left speechless by Anupama’s stirring question.
