Leela informs Vanraj that his greatness preventing him from taking the decision he’s about to make; they will face regret if this happens, and with that in mind, he agrees that the baby belongs to Kavya and will accept it as his own. His statement stuns everyone present, while Leela sheds tears. Kavya gazes at him affectionately while Kinjal tries her best to soothe the crying matriarch. He moves towards Kavya, extending his hand for a handshake; she’s almost ready to seal the deal when Anupama interrupts them.
Vanraj inquires whether there is any disagreement on his part. Anupama reassures that she is in complete agreement. She states that she wanted him to make an informed decision so that he wouldn’t regret it later. She mentions the light flickering due to voltage variations and continues narrating how his high-spiritedness changed when he heard the news of the pregnancy and then later found out it wasn’t true. Subsequently, at the hospital, he altered his decision and today he forgave Kavya; however, since forgiveness isn’t a natural in Vanraj, living with her isn’t easy.
Anupama is asking Kavya and Vanraj to evaluate if they are deciding that they won’t regret it in the long run. She emphasizes that whatever commitment they make, it should be after thoughtful consideration as it’s a lifetime responsibility. Kavya agrees and adds that Vanraj should consider his action before he takes it. Vanraj halts his movement and departs, leaving Kavya to sob. Anupama apologizes, as the choice shall be one that can be endeavored for a lifetime. Kavya then declares her intention to battle for the child, being convinced that it is indeed hers.
Kavya informs Vanraj that she knows he needs time to ponder and she is willing to provide it, yet the question must be asked. She requests him to inform his choice. He responds that although he is only human, he aspires for greatness yet the price of that is too high to pay. He emphatically states that he can’t pardon her nor accept the baby; however, he wants to make it happen but has second thoughts when put to himself whether he can confidently answer her or not. Kavya is stunned.
