Maya is aware that the case revealed untold facts; thus, she requests him to recall any distinctive affirmation. Teji finds this attempt futile, yet Maya suggests providing him with a cup of coffee to boost his recollective powers. The man remembers Viaan making a remark that led to an argument between them. Viaan made a remark that was highly disparaging towards women, leaving Maya perplexed. In an attempt to prove his point, he mentioned that Katha had asked him if he had ever paid someone money for them to spend a night with him – Teji and Maya were taken aback.
To ensure the consequences would be dire, Maya dispatched an officer and presented him with half of the money, planning to give him the rest when the job was completed. Ehsan steps into the elevator with his colleague, who threatens to reveal the conversation he had with Maya. Worried, he begs Ehsan not to involve him in it. In response, Maya advises Teji to focus on undermining Katha and Viaan’s relationship rather than allowing herself to become consumed by anger. To her dismay, Teji never considered that Viaan would offer money for someone to spend a night with him – she had raised him better than that. Regardless, she wants to know if this news can break up their bond or not.
Maya ponders over her investigation; Katha last encountered Viaan before obtaining the funds abruptly. Doubts are fading as more questions arise. Katha was resolute in saving her son’s life, and willing to make any necessary transaction for it, but what could have been Viaan’s purpose? Teji felt dejected and discouraged. Maya told her not to stress, as even with the strict upbringing she gave them, kids can still have individualized thoughts and perspectives. The main concentration now has to be figuring out if this news will put an end to the nuptials. Teji notifies Maya about getting a call from an unnamed contact. She follows her advice and attends the call, which turns out to be Viaan; informing her that he and Katha would not be able to come back in the night due to some difficulty.

To soothe Teji, Maya advises them to take care while staying outside and tells them to make sure they return home earliest in the morning. To comfort Viaan, she promises him that she will speak to Garewals on his part. Katha says that she wants an intimate ceremony over the extravagant one she is currently experiencing. Viaan recalls how their friends are the ones who influenced this, yet they still have the joy of being in love with each other. He hopes Katha will agree and both break out into laughter about how fate brought them together, no matter what obstacles were in their path. After confessing their affection for one another, the two spend some quality time together.
