Kumkum Bhagya 25th September 2023 Written Update Akshay’s crime. Rana and Akshay hide as Rana’s partner gives Khushi a dose of drug. Akshay reminds the kidnapper to be cautious with Khushi and the kidnapper agrees, requesting Akshay to fetch his payment. After agreeing, Akshay departs from the location. A call from Rana prompts Prachi to ask Akshay to answer it. Upon answering, Rana inquires about the money, and after stating it is incorrect, Akshay ends the call. Prachi questions Akshay about the call and he fabricates an explanation. Despite Rana’s attempts to reach out again, Akshay ignores the calls, causing Rana’s frustration to grow.

Prachi breaks down with the fear of losing her daughter. Ashok, Manpreet, and Vishaka console her. Ashok asks Prachi not to worry because he has hired a special officer to find Khushi. He says that very soon they will get good news and learn Khushi’s whereabouts. Prachi gets hopeful, while Akshay is tense. He meets his henchman and asks him to make a ransom call to Prachi. He pays him the money before explaining the task. He says that everybody should feel Ranbir is the kidnapper. He asks the man to create an illusion through his talks so that the family suspects Ranbir.

He then reminds Rana that it’s important for people to suspect that the abduction was orchestrated by Ranbir. Akshay plots the kidnapping only to separate Prachi and Khushi. He says that once Prachi breaks down, he will take Khushi to her and make a big favor to have her indebted to him forever. Ranbir realizes that Akshay is behind Khushi’s kidnapping. Manpreet inquires about any updates from the police to Akshay. Unfortunately, there are none. Prachi notices Khushi’s flute, which brings her to tears in private. Manpreet offers comfort to Prachi and urges her to try and compose herself. However, Prachi’s thoughts dwell on her perceived failure as a mother and she condemns herself for it. Despite Manpreet’s attempts to reassure her that she is indeed a good mother, Prachi refuses to believe it and expresses that she deserves punishment. To snap her out of this mindset, Manpreet delivers a firm slap and reminds Prachi that she can see the love and care she has for Khushi through her actions. Furthermore, Manpreet acknowledges that Prachi only married Akshay because of Khushi and gives assurance that they will find their daughter together while encouraging Prachi to stay calm.

As Ashok and Vishaka return to the Tandon mansion, Prachi anxiously approaches Ashok with a request to bring Khushi back. Assuring her that he has hired a child abduction specialist, Ashok urges Prachi to remain calm. However, she can’t help but wonder why the investigator has yet to arrive. To ease the tension, Ashok explains that the specialist is en route from the airport. Meanwhile, Vishaka notices Akshay’s distress and inquires about it. He reveals his worries for Khushi’s well-being. Just then, Ritika, the specialist, arrives at the mansion and is greeted by Ashok and Prachi. She informs them that Ashok had briefed her on everything during their phone call while she was on her way there. She begins talking to each family member individually before beginning her investigation.

Ranbir’s cellmate persuades him to accept his assistance and shares the reason for his imprisonment. Admitting he doesn’t know where to find Khushi, Ranbir’s cellmate suggests approaching Akshay and intimidating him for the truth. Without hesitation, Ranbir agrees. Putting on a show of disagreement with his cellmate, Ranbir attracts the attention of the police who rush in to break up their supposed fight. Seizing the opportunity while the police are preoccupied with other inmates trying to flee, Ranbir and his cellmate attempt to flee as well. A female constable raises an alarm about some convicts attempting to escape, diverting the police’s attention towards them.

Ritika inquires about Prachi’s relationship with Akshay, to which Prachi responds that it is going well. She adds that Akshay holds a deep affection for Khushi above anyone else and even shows concern for her well-being. Later, Ritika asks about Prachi’s relationship with Ranbir. To this, Prachi reveals that things are not good between them as Ranbir is planning to marry Mihika, which explains his presence here. Later, Ritika has a conversation with Akshay, questioning his suspicions towards Ranbir. She points out that he claimed Ranbir still has feelings for Prachi as the reason for Khushi’s kidnapping. In response, Akshay simply reiterates that it was indeed Ranbir who took Khushi. Concerned, Ritika suggests they may receive a ransom call and advises them to focus on that instead.

Meanwhile, at the police station, Ranbir and his cellmate come across a bike with keys in it and manage to escape on it before being caught by the cops in their car. The two successfully evade the police by maneuvering through narrow streets inaccessible to cars. Akshay receives a call from Rana and immediately picks up. Rana is outside his house and threatens him, demanding his money or else he will enter the house. Akshay meets Rana in person and reminds him of his lower status as a goon. He hands over the money to Rana and instructs him to falsely implicate Ranbir in the kidnapping to deceive everyone. When the time comes, Akshay directs Rana to harm Khushi. Rana protests, stating that she is just a child.

But Akshay forcefully handles Rana and reiterates that he must follow his orders. Ritika informs the Tandon family about their efforts to locate Khushi. She then inquires about Akshay’s whereabouts from Prachi, who replies that he stepped away to take a call and she will fetch him. After searching for Akshay, Prachi finds him and relays that everyone is calling for him inside. Together, they leave the area. Rana’s sinister actions make Ranbir believe he is truly wicked. Spotting Rana in his car, Ranbir requests him to halt, but Rana attempts to evade him. Rana finds himself halted at a police checkpoint where the officers are specifically looking for Ranbir.

After thoroughly inspecting Rana’s car and even asking him to open the trunk, the cops come up empty-handed. Running into this situation, both Ranbir and his cellmate realize that the police are on the hunt for Ranbir. To avoid getting caught, Ranbir takes refuge in Rana’s car trunk since it has already been searched. Relieved that he wasn’t detected, Rana breathes a sigh of relief while Ranbir silently thanks his lucky stars for timing the checkpoint just right.
