Kumkum Bhagya 26th September 2023 Written Update Mihika warns Prachi. Akshay hands over the money to Rana and instructs him to make the ransom call, making it seem like it was Ranbir’s idea. As they discuss their plan, Ritika reassures them to trust her, as she has successfully solved every case except one. Akshay asks for Rana’s location and reminds him that Khushi’s safety is his responsibility until further notice. Rana expresses concern for the young girl, but Akshay forcefully reminds him to keep personal emotions aside and view this as simply work. He clarifies that Khushi is not Rana’s daughter. Just then, Akshay spots Prachi and quickly ducks behind Rana, telling him to hide as well.
Making an excuse to avoid suspicion from Prachi, Akshay approaches her while keeping his eye on Rana. Feeling guilty about their actions, Rana acknowledges that they may have done wrong things but still have a heart for Khushi. Gravely describes Akshay as a devil in disguise. Ranbir stops Rana and inquires about his daughter’s whereabouts. He then questions why the bike isn’t going faster. Rana speeds off, worried that Ranbir will catch him. Eventually, both vehicles come to a stop at a check post where the Inspector shows Ranbir’s photo to Rana’s driver who claims he hasn’t seen him. Ranbir asks who they are searching for and the guy reveals it is Ranbir himself, who had escaped from the police station earlier.
Ranbir points out that the guy had also escaped and he tells him to figure out a hiding place. Deciding to join the dancer’s entourage since that area was already checked, Ranbir takes the guy’s phone and agrees to meet whenever he calls. He then hides in the car dicky, determined to follow wherever the dancer goes and find Khushi. Ranbir contacts Prachi to inform her that he has arrived and assures her that their daughter will be located.
Upon hearing this, Prachi anxiously mentions his name, to which Ranbir responds, confirming his identity. Desperate for answers about their daughter’s whereabouts, Prachi asks him for information. Mihika intervenes by grabbing the phone from Prachi and asserts that they should not trace Ranbir’s call. She suggests letting him search for Khushi on his own. This statement angers Akshay, leading him to slap Mihika in frustration. Prachi and the family members are shocked to witness this.

After departing from the police checkpoint, Rana’s focus shifts to questioning Ranbir’s cellmate Surya, who is in disguise. However, the cellmate quickly realizes he has been spotted and promptly makes his exit. Meanwhile, Ritika probes Akshay about a recent phone call but receives a defensive response about it being work-related. This prompts Ritika to remark addressing the Tandon family, stating that she must be wary of everyone to uncover the truth behind the crime. In another location, Rana contacts Prachi and engages in conversation until he spots Ranbir’s feet outside the door. Realizing he must flee with his accomplices, Rana urgently takes Khushi and escapes while Ranbir demands entry by breaking down the door.
While escaping, Rana fumbles his phone and it falls to the ground. Promptly, Ranbir picks it up. Upon receiving a call from Prachi, he answers Rana’s phone. Prachi requests to speak with Khushi and Ranbir assures her that he will bring her back safely. As he attempts to apprehend Rana and his henchmen, one of them fires a shot at him. Thankfully, Ranbir quickly avoids the bullet. Despite his efforts to pursue them, he ultimately loses track of their whereabouts. Akshay confirms that it was indeed Ranbir who abducted Khushi.
He immediately contacts the authorities and reprimands them for allowing Ranbir to get away. Ritika then takes the phone and requests that the cops update them if they discover any leads on Khushi’s whereabouts, before ending the call. She scolds Akshay for his harsh treatment of the police. Acknowledging his mistake, Akshay apologizes and departs from the scene. Shortly after, Ritika’s team arrives at the Tandon residence and begins arranging their equipment in preparation for locating Khushi.

Rana’s vehicle malfunctions and he instructs his team to repair it. Later, Akshay contacts Rana and inquires about the situation. He reminds Rana to refrain from mentioning his name if they get caught. Rana understands the gravity of the situation and assures Akshay that he will also face consequences with them if they are caught. Meanwhile, Surya observes Rana conversing with Akshay on the phone and informs Ranbir about it. Prachi contacts Ranbir to determine his whereabouts while Ritika’s team attempts to track his location through the call. Prachi keeps him engaged on the phone as they speak, but Mihika intervenes and ends the call to prevent anyone from discovering Ranbir’s location.
This action prompts Akshay to slap Mihika. Meanwhile, Surya takes matters into his own hands and steals a taxi to follow the kidnappers. Ranbir eventually enters a stolen cab and joins Surya in following Rana and his accomplices. Manpreet inquires of Akshay as to why he slapped Mihika. In response, Akshay explains that if Mihika hadn’t abruptly ended the call, they would have already located Ranbir’s whereabouts. Mihika defends Ranbir and declares him to be the best person for the job. Suddenly, Rana and his henchmen notice a suspicious taxi tailing them, prompting them to speed away. However, they eventually come across a police checkpoint and swiftly make their exit.
Meanwhile, Ranbir and Surya continue to follow Rana’s car, catching the attention of the cops who then pursue them as well. During the team discussion with the Tandon family, Mihika poses a question to Prachi about Ranbir’s possible involvement in the crime. Considering the evidence presented by Akshay, Prachi asserts that Ranbir may indeed be responsible for the kidnapping. However, Mihika urges Prachi to set aside the facts and listen to her heart.
