Anupama Dramatic turn Anuj accused of Samar’s loss. Anupama pleads with Samar to come inside and stop speaking nonsense, while he bursts into tears. She gently wipes away his tears and acknowledges that his emotions are heightened because he is going to be a father for the first time. As they sit together, Samar expresses how lucky their child will be to have Anupama’s lap to play in. This tugs at Anupama’s heartstrings and she asks him to refrain from talking about such things. Even so, Samar continues to express his gratitude towards Anupama, acknowledging that it is because of her unwavering love and care since his childhood that he owes her his life. Samar expresses gratitude to Anupama for the loving family his baby will have.
He then apologizes, saying he needs to leave, and asks her to use the main door instead of the window. Samar lovingly touches Anupama’s cheek and reminds her to take care of herself and others in his absence. As the lights go off, Anupama mentions needing a candle. After Samar leaps out of the kitchen window, the worsening weather brings thunders, but there is no sign of him outside. Anupama browses for a candle as the other ladies continue their game of Antakshari. Leela promises to sing once the lights come back. Eventually, Anupama finds a candle and lights it up, only to discover Anuj standing in front of her out of nowhere. She admits to being startled and comments on how everyone seems to be giving her a scare tonight.
Asking about the men’s evening at the club, Anupama receives no response from any of them. Instead, they all wear somber expressions, clearly traumatized by something. Wondering if they caused some sort of disturbance outside, Anupama notices a change in mood upon the lights returning and becomes shocked by the tense atmosphere among the men. Anupama wonders why Anuj is standing among the ladies while she calls out for Samar. He tells her that Samar won’t be returning, shocking her. Initially, she laughs, thinking it’s a joke. However, when she realizes the seriousness of the situation, she recalls how Samar was just with her in the kitchen moments ago.

In a flashback, it is revealed that Samar sacrificed his life to save Anuj and took his last breath in Vanraj’s arms. Anupama still doesn’t believe it and asks Samar to stop the prank. Paritosh confirms that he is gone for real. Anupama points out how he had just talked to her earlier, calling out the men for their convincing acting. Anupama strongly warns against repeating the prank, as it is a terrible idea. Anuj is visibly upset, empathizing with how Anupama will react upon learning the truth. Vanraj remains silent, traumatized by the loss of his son on what should have been a celebratory occasion.
Paritosh assures Anupama that they are not joking about Samar’s absence, which only angers her further. Leela pleads for the men to stop their act, as it is no longer funny. However, they all continue to cry. Dimple inquires about Samar’s whereabouts and suggests asking Anuj to bring him in since it is getting late and everyone needs rest.
