Kathaa Ankahee 9th October 2023 Written Update Viaan accused. Katha inquires Aarav about his attack on Mathur and a flashback reveals Aarav’s friends asking him about the cancellation of his parents’ wedding. Aarav denies having any knowledge about it and refuses to discuss it with Katha, citing her troubled expression and high-stress levels. This is when Mathur shows up and instigates Aarav by implying that Katha is to blame for the wedding being called off. Aarav warns Mathur not to speak ill of Katha, but Mathur persists and triggers Aarav into attacking him. The flashback ends, leaving Aarav in tears as he laments that the elders never tell him the reasons behind their actions.
Katha tries to comfort him with a hug and advises him not to retaliate even if someone provokes him. Aarav remains steadfast in his vow to defend Katha if anyone speaks negatively about her, before storming off. This leaves Katha feeling upset and concerned. After learning the truth, Viaan asks Ehsan about his perspective. Ehsan explains that while he was initially shocked, he later understood Viaan’s actions and did not judge him. He also expresses happiness that Katha finally understands his love for her. Ehsan then offers to help Viaan in getting Katha back in his life and receives some instructions from Viaan, which he assures to follow.
Maya tells Teji she is headed back to Paris and asks if she can see Viaan before leaving. Teji agrees and Maya thanks her. Katha makes a trip to the hospital where she meets Mathur’s parents, the Kumars. She apologises for Aarav’s actions and Mathur’s mother expresses her disappointment in Katha. She also advises Katha to take good care of Aarav who has been affected by their cancelled wedding. This makes Katha feel sad. She notices that Viaan’s room is empty and decides to enter, but then remembers he is still there and hides herself. Viaan senses her presence but gets distracted when a nurse asks him to complete his discharge formalities from the hospital. Maya pays a visit to Viaan, who immediately confronts her.

She attempts to explain her actions, but he lashes out at her and completely cuts ties before leaving with Teji. In the end, Maya is hurt and perceived as the villain. Feeling like she has no other choice, she decides to embrace this role and becomes a part of Viaan’s life as the antagonist. Katha, wanting to avoid being noticed by Viaan, hides herself and overhears Maya ordering Reet to expose Katha and Viaan’s secret to Kailash. This shocking revelation causes Katha distress. However, when Reet refuses to comply with Maya’s demands, the latter resorts to threats before leaving. Meanwhile, Ehsan warns that if needed, he will abduct Katha and force her into marriage with Viaan at a temple. Ironically, both Viaan and Teji find this amusing.
Amid all this chaos, Katha tries contacting Reet and Kailash for help but receives no response from either of them which leaves her feeling concerned. At the same time, Yuvraj returns home, causing tension among the Garewals. The family learns that Viaan has withdrawn his complaint against Yuvraj. Kailash shows no manners towards Yuvraj, while Viaan and Katha both arrive at the Garewal residence simultaneously. Despite Viaan’s desperate pleas, Reet chooses to disclose a secret between him and Katha to Kailash. This causes Kailash to yell at Viaan, and Aarav accuses him of hurting Katha before fainting, causing concern for everyone present.
