Bhagya Lakshmi 17th October 2023 Written Update New start. As Rishi offers Lakshmi a glass of turmeric milk, Malishka can’t help but imagine how her wedding night with him would have played out. Meanwhile, Sonal observes Malishka’s wistful expression and refrains from saying anything. Rishi tells Lakshmi to drink the milk, reminding her that it’s a traditional ritual. He then takes off her veil, causing her to shyly look away. With a smile, he compliments her and holds her hand, expressing his love for her. As they share a moment of closeness, Rishi remarks on their newfound intimacy and kisses Lakshmi’s hand. She finally looks up at him and reciprocates his smile as they continue gazing lovingly at each other.
Malishka sobs as she watches Rishi embrace the bride he will spend the night with – not her, but Lakshmi. As Sonal comforts Malishka, who rants about Lakshmi’s constant presence in Rishi’s life, Rishi and Lakshmi return to their usual sleeping arrangement on the ground. Rishi asks Lakshmi if she is happy now that they are finally married, acknowledging his past mistakes of divorcing her and breaking her heart. But Lakshmi urges him not to speak of it and reminds him that sometimes fate works against them. She then expresses regret over Neelam’s feelings while Rishi admits that Neelam is upset with him. Rishi reassures Lakshmi that Neelam will eventually forgive him, allowing them to return to their shared home at the Oberoi residence and continue living their dream life with family.
He suggests shifting their thoughts to something else, like planning for the next day’s meals. Rishi reminds Lakshmi that Aayush was responsible for Shalu and Bani’s sudden departure, as they had eloped for some reason. He then reveals that it is their wedding night, but Lakshmi hesitates. Sensing her reluctance, Rishi changes the subject and proposes they go to bed since they are both exhausted. Lakshmi expresses her gratitude for his understanding, and Rishi assures her that he wants her by his side forever. He explains that just having her presence is enough for him and lovingly kisses her forehead before reassuring her that there is plenty of time ahead for other matters in their lives together.

As Virender recounts how Rishi and Lakshmi resembled shadows at their wedding, Neelam remarks that Lakshmi is not her shadow. This prompts Virender to question her intense dislike for Lakshmi. Neelam explains that her animosity stems from the same reason Virender adores her, and confesses she wouldn’t have expressed it if Lakshmi hadn’t taken Rishi away. Meanwhile, at Malishka’s house, she confides in Sonia about seeking retribution against Rishi and Lakshmi now that they are no longer together. Sensing Sonal’s confusion, Malishka clarifies that she won’t let anyone else have Rishi since he’s not hers anymore. As Virender listens, he muses that it’s a good thing Lakshmi isn’t like Neelam as she would never harbor such resentment toward anyone.
He attempts to explain to her that Lakshmi had already rejected the proposal, but Neelam continues to protest against hearing any praise for Lakshmi. Sonal questions Malishka about her plans to harm Rishi, and Malishka agrees, stating she cannot allow him to be with Lakshmi. At Rishi’s house, they both lay awake unable to sleep, communicating silently through their eyes. Sonal tries to console Malishka, asking how she could carry out such a terrible act against Rishi. Malishka insists that if she cannot have him, no one else can either. As she holds up her hands, she declares that this is something she must do herself – an act of kindness towards the man who promised her a lifetime together. Sonal continues to try and calm her down while Malishka explains how humiliated she felt when Rishi abandoned her at the altar and proposed to Lakshmi instead. As Lakshmi holds onto Rishi’s hand, they both drift off into peaceful slumber with hopes of starting a new chapter in their lives the next day.
