Kundali Bhagya 22nd December 2023 Written Update Preeta at task. The Luthra women inquire Karan about why he didn’t intervene with the police. Rajveer reassures them that it’s simply a misunderstanding on the police’s part and that they will resolve the issue. The trio, consisting of Karan, Mahesh, and Rajveer, consult with Mr. Malkani, their lawyer. Mr. Malkani acknowledges that the situation is spiraling out of control but promises to do his best to handle it. Meanwhile, Shanaya is granted permission to see Shaurya. However, she receives advice from an officer not to marry him.
Shaurya is overjoyed when he sees Palki and immediately tells her and Shanaya that he is innocent. He informs them that his friend Raman was found in possession of drugs and he had only recently found out about it. Later on, Preeta confronts the police inspector and manages to meet with Shaurya as well. As expected, Shaurya maintains his innocence while Preeta assures him of her support and assistance. Sandy questions Shaurya about why he felt compelled to explain himself to Preeta, to which Shaurya reveals how much both Preeta and Palki mean to him.
Ahead in the show, Raman will inform Shaurya and Sandy that they have the freedom to make their own choices, but he will refuse to acknowledge that he gave them drugs. When questioned by the police inspector, Raman will be asked if he had met with Sandy. Later on, Preeta catches a glimpse of Raman. The police inspector makes it clear to the Luthras that he will not release Shaurya solely based on their pleas. This may lead Preeta to become suspicious of Raman’s involvement in the situation. Rakhi inquires Karan about the events at the lawyer’s office. He informs her that Mr. Malkani initially declined to take the case due to its complexity, but Rajveer managed to persuade him. Rakhi then expresses her belief in Shaurya’s innocence, stating that while he may have a short temper, he is not someone who would use drugs. Kareena notices Mahesh’s silence and inquires about his well-being. He responds, stating that he feels helpless as he is unable to help his son and grandson. Karan reassures him that everything will be okay for Shaurya. Rakhi expresses her desire to see Shaurya and the need for family support. Kareena suggests that everyone should visit Shaurya. Karan then informs them that Rajveer is waiting in the car for them.
Shaurya informs Sandy that he can’t remain at the current location. Sandy expresses his dissatisfaction and echoes Shaurya’s sentiment. Raman enters and inquires why Sandy had summoned him. Shaurya urges Raman to find a way to obtain a confession so they can be released. Raman refuses, stating that it is unlikely anyone will comply. Undeterred, Shaurya offers to pay for the information, holding up his phone with incriminating evidence. Despite this, Raman stands firm and tells Shaurya that he can proceed as he pleases. He then instructs Sandy not to contact him again before exiting the scene. Meanwhile, Rajveer remembers Palki’s earlier discussion about Raman and calls Receptionist Mary. He asks her to check the entry list and verifies that Raman’s name is indeed on it. He requests CCTV footage of Raman and they depart from the area in their vehicle.
Daljeet informs Palki that standing by the Luthras is the right thing to do. She expresses her certainty of Shaurya’s innocence and decides to make sure the media knows it as well. At the police station, Preeta acknowledges that the inspector understands her sentiments and thanks him for it. The inspector notices Raman and inquires if he has met Sandy. Raman nods and then departs. Preeta sees Raman and asks the inspector what she should do next. He advises her to hire a skilled lawyer and disclose all details honestly. Preeta reiterates Shaurya’s innocence before leaving.
Reporters question the Luthras as Rajveer intervenes and escorts the ladies inside. Upon witnessing this, Karan enters with Mahesh and reveals to the police inspector that he cannot recall the details of their previous encounter. The inspector refers to Mahesh as an uncle and is soon interrupted by the arrival of media reporters who proceed to bombard the Luthras with inquiries. Reacting swiftly, Rajveer forcefully pushes a reporter away, prompting the inspector to order his arrest.
A constable follows through and places Rajveer in a cell across from Shaurya’s. Fuming, Rajveer reprimands Shaurya for causing distress to his family while they engage in a heated argument. The constable steps in and demands that they cease their argument. Just then, Rajveer discovers that Raman had visited Shaurya earlier. Inquiring on behalf of her brother, Rakhi asks the inspector why Rajveer was arrested while Kareena explains that he reacted aggressively due to a reporter pushing Karan. Sensing an opportunity, Karan declares that his friend cannot be held in custody by the police.
