Kumkum Bhagya 9th January 2024 Written Update RV’s promise. RV reveals to the family that he has promised to marry Purvi. While the family is stunned at the news, RV assures that they will like Purvi. He goes to meet Tandons and asks them if he can take Purvi home to introduce her to his family. Ashok and Manpreet permit him to take Purvi with him. RV finds Prachi growing worried and asks her to not worry, he will get her daughter home on time. Manpreet says that they have no worries because they trust him.
RV asks for Purvi’s consent before taking her home. They leave for home when Jasbeer is in shock over RV and Purvi’s marriage news. The man informs him that Purvi doesn’t belong to Jasbeer now, because RV has filled Sindoor in her hairline and promised to marry her socially. Jasbeer can’t believe this news. Prachi seems to accept RV as Purvi’s life partner after she finds him protective and respectful like Ranbir. Prachi smiles and blesses their Jodi. RV explains to Purvi that during the riots, he witnessed her being attacked and came to her aid. He then shares the details of the incident with their family. However, he later realizes that people were blaming Purvi for what happened and he didn’t want her reputation to suffer because of him. So, to protect her, RV discreetly placed sindoor in Purvi’s hairline. Meanwhile, Jasbeer is released from the police station and is informed by his men that RV has promised to marry Purvi and put Sindoor in her hairline. Jasbeer watches a video of this and becomes enraged, throwing his phone in frustration.
As RV made his promise to Purvi and her family, Dadaji decided to take on the role of ensuring their marriage. He then asks RV to contact Purvi’s parents, but RV confesses that he doesn’t have their phone number. However, Dadaji reveals that he does have their landline number. Dadi questions how he obtained it, to which Dadaji explains that it is important to be prepared when fate presents opportunities. He believes that this marriage will come to fruition and thus obtains Purvi’s parents’ number. Dadaji calls the landline and Ashok advises Prachi to answer it as it could potentially be from RV’s family.
Prachi then attends the call. Dadaji informs Prachi over the phone that he is aware of what RV has done, and suggests that it would be wise for RV and Purvi to have a conversation as marriage should be carefully considered. He also mentions that RV will be taking Purvi out for dinner later today. Dadaji later calls Purvi and inquires about her thoughts on the dinner date. After glancing at Prachi, Purvi agrees to go on the dinner date. Excited, Dadaji tells Purvi that RV will pick her up from her house at 9 pm. Meanwhile, Jasbeer watches a video and becomes furious.
He decides to kill RV, and asks his henchman to join him. His uncle inquires about his whereabouts, to which Jasbeer comes up with an excuse. Visakha notices that Purvi is all set for the date. She reminds Purvi to observe her surroundings closely and keep an eye out for anything unusual. Visakha expresses her concern about RV possibly having a drinking problem and a girlfriend. She urges Purvi to be cautious. Furthermore, Visakha states that it is preferable to remain single than to go through a divorce.
