Jhanak 16th March 2024 Written Update Jhanak revolts. The Bose Family is discussing their plans to break off Jhanak’s marriage. Both Jhanak and Anjana are being asked to prepare to leave with them. Confused, Anjana and Choton wonder why Jhanak is being taken away. Anjana even asks Shubh for the destination, but no one provides an answer. Meanwhile, at Shrishti’s house, Arshi also readies herself to accompany the Bose family. Anirudh expresses his desire for Jhanak to marry a good person who will ensure her a peaceful life. Shrishti assures that she will find the perfect match for Jhanak.
In front of a local pond, all the family members, including Jhanak, are stunned by the arrangement. Arshi is going to follow Dadi’s instructions. Dadi asks Arshi to break the bangle that’s significant just like a mangalsutra for a married girl. Jhanak gets surprised but also orders Arshi to break all her bangles by hand. Arshi agrees. Choton asks Anirudh if he has anything to say, but Anirudh remains silent the entire time. Shrishti also helps Arshi. Anirudh, Choton and Anjana sympathize deeply with Jhanak, but are unable to express their feelings.
Tanuja then asks Arshi to remove the Sindoor from Jhanak’s forehead, which is a symbol of marriage. Arshi proceeds to do so by pouring water on her forehead and using soap. Though both Jhanak and Aniruddha are heartbroken by this, they bear the pain in silence. Tanuja reminds Jhanak that she can no longer wear vermilion on her forehead and her grandmother orders her to wear a white cloth, indicating her widowhood. Finally, Bipasha hands Jhanak the white cloth. Upon reaching the water, Jhanak is urged to change into white garments by Shrishti. Anirudh doesn’t want to say anything in between, because he wants Jhanak to fight for herself. Jhanak is disgusted. Shrishti tells that they will do whatever is necessary.
Jhanak refuses to comply and wear the white saree. Exhausted and unwilling, she tosses the cloth in defiance. Anirudh catches the white saree. Despite her resistance, Shrishti persists in persuading Jhanak to bathe in the deep water. Reluctant to submerge herself, Jhanak is eventually pulled underwater by Shrishti. In an unexpected turn of events, she loses consciousness and begins to sink. Without hesitation, Anirudh leaps into the water to rescue Jhanak’s life. Arshi and everyone look disappointed with his move.
