Imlie 24th March 2024 Written Update Surya’s disclosure. As they sit together for the rituals, the Pandit instructs them to stand up for the rounds. After completing the rounds, Surya applies vermillion to Imlie’s hairline and they seek blessings from Amma ji. She assures them that Imlie will not have any regrets and that happiness will soon come her way. Amma ji then turns to Surya and reminds him to take care of Imlie. The rest of the family bids farewell to Imlie with warm hugs and wishes. As they head towards the car, Imlie turns back one last time to say goodbye. Seeing herself in the mirror with vermillion adorning her forehead, she suddenly feels suffocated and asks Surya to stop.
Stepping out of the car, she questions why he came back for this marriage when she was about to leave his life forever. To which Surya responds that he promised Amma ji he would marry her. Imlie asks him who has given him the right to promise and make a decision about her life. She applauds that he has become a great man. She refuses to accept him as her husband. She says that she doesn’t need him. Surya shouts at her but doesn’t reveal the secret. He asks her to think wrong about him if she wants to. She asks him to keep the decision, and not force her. He asks her to come. He takes her home.
Surya drops Imlie at the door and goes for a while. Reddys are shocked to see Imlie. They remember meeting Imlie. They think Imlie has come to ask for money. Imlie learns that they are Surya’s family. She gets reprimanded. While she bears the taunts, Surya arrives there. He reveals that he has married Imlie. His family is left flabbergasted. They can’t believe the shocking and upsetting news.
Indira expresses frustration to Surya, insisting that he show sympathy towards her. While she agrees to help him with his job and living arrangements, she is not accepting of his marriage to Imlie. Despite this, Surya mentions that he has already performed a traditional ritual on Imlie by filling her hairline with vermillion. This prompts Indira to start teasing Imlie. Nirmala points out to Hemlata that Imlie seems oblivious to the fact that she is not welcome in their home. She also remarks to Indira that Surya has forgotten the values he was raised with. Indira also shares her concern with Surya about the Chaudhary family taking advantage of him.
However, Imlie interjects and reminds Indira about Amma ji’s loving nature towards everyone. Annoyed, Indira insists that Imlie stays out of her affairs. Nirmala describes Imlie as a rude and cunning girl. Hemlata suggests to Indira that now Surya and Imlie are married, they must figure out what to do next. Surya informs Indira of his decision to marry Imlie and mentions that if she had met Amma Ji earlier, she would have also liked her. However, Indira expresses her doubts about Imlie’s suitability as a daughter-in-law for the Reddy family.
Surya then takes Imlie with him, holding her hand and guiding her to sit in the car. Concerned about the conflict with his family, Imlie asks Surya if he has hurt them. He responds by reminding her to be mindful of her words. Despite feeling disrespected by everyone at the house, Imlie decides to go inside but Amma ji interrupts and asks about her future in-laws. Imlie remains silent and simply states that they are good people. Amma ji advises Imlie to take care of herself and the Reddy family while Sonali and Shivani also remind her of her responsibilities. Feeling overwhelmed, Imlie breaks down in tears inside the car.
