Durva makes a sarcastic comment, but Nishi defends Savi, allowing her to join in the rangoli drawing. Yashwant tries to cheer up Surekha as she expresses disappointment about Chinmay’s lack of presence. He questions whether his dignity is more important than his brother’s visit. Savi points out the love between Surekha and Yashwant. Upon arriving with her parents, Reeva is complimented by Surekha for her beauty and qualities that make her a suitable spouse for the Bhosale family. This upsets Savi, while Swati wonders about Ishaan’s whereabouts.
Just then, Ishaan walks into the tune of “Ek Radha Ek Meera” playing in the background. Surekha gestures towards him, admiring his handsome appearance. Reeva wishes him a happy Gudi Padwa and he reciprocates. Meanwhile, Savi expresses her disappointment to Ishaan for not focusing on studying during the festival celebration. However, when Ishaan notices Reeva’s hair clip is out of place, he kindly helps her fix it. This only adds to Savi’s distress. As they gather to establish the Gudi, Asmita pulls Surekha aside for a private conversation.
She reminds Surekha of her role as protector of customs and suggests that since Ishaan and Reeva are not married yet, it may be more appropriate for Savi and Ishaan to perform the ritual together instead. Surekha agrees to Asmita and lets Ishaan and Savi perform the rituals. Reeva turns upset, finding her place away from the family. Swati believes Surekha and hopes Reeva soon becomes Ishaan’s wife. Savi proposes to Ishaan with love and gives the gift to Gudi Padwa. Ishaan learns about Savi’s growing feelings which will only hinder her studies and career. GHKKPM 11th April 2024 Written Update Ishaan’s refusal:
Asmita pleads with Surekha not to break tradition, prompting Surekha to ask for clarification. Asmita reminds Surekha of the previous year when she asked Chinmay and Shikha to perform the Gudi ritual, but he refused and ended up leaving the house. She expresses her concern about Ishaan following the same path as Chinmay. Asmita then implores Surekha to allow Ishaan and Savi, being a couple, to do the Gudi Padwa ritual for the well-being of our household. With a concerned expression, Surekha listens on. Surekha arrives at the hall and asks Ishaan and Savi to set up the gudi. Reeva and her parents are upset, while Asmita and Shikha are delighted. Ishaan and Savi successfully set up the Gudi, with Reeva holding back her tears. Afterward, Savi conducts the Gudi Padwa puja as everyone prays to the Gudi for blessings.
Savi then greets Ishaan with wishes for a happy new year, to which he reciprocates. The mood is festive as Surekha presents Yashwant with a watch, which he eagerly shows to everyone. Asmita gifts Nishikant a beautiful chain, while Swati gives her husband his gift before asking Reeva to present hers to Ishaan. However, Reeva refuses and asks her to leave. Surekha insists that Reeva give her gift to Ishaan, so she finally relents and hands it over. This makes Savi feel sad as Durva suggests that Ishaan open his gift. To their surprise, inside is a diamond-studded pen that Durva compliments as a classy present. Grateful, Ishaan thanks Reeva while Savi quietly leaves.
Ishaan requests Surekha to put on the garland for him. She recalls wearing it for him and Chinmay when they were younger. Ishaan reminds her that he is still like a kid to her and asks her to wear it again. Surekha obliges and puts on the garland for Ishaan. He then asks her to wear the second one as well and imagine she is putting it on just for him. Surekha agrees and wears the second garland too. To mark the occasion of Gudi Padwa, Ishaan sends his wishes to Surekha, who reciprocates with her well-wishes for him. Surekha asks Asmita if all the preparations are completed. She confirms that everything is good to go, except for the mango juice and Puri.
Asmita reminisces about how Ishaan and Chinmay used to argue over those particular items when they were younger. Upon hearing this, Surekha decides not to make them this time around. Asmita wonders how disappointed Ishaan will be, but Savi quickly offers to take on the task instead. Asmita agrees to this solution. The entire family, along with Reeva’s relatives, thoroughly enjoy the delicious combination of Mango juice and Puri. Ishaan compliments Surekha for her cooking skills while Asmita reveals that today’s batch was prepared by Savi who has been working on it for two hours. Upon hearing this, Ishaan becomes upset and declines Savi’s offer to try some Puri.
He instead excuses himself, stating that he has a college class to attend. He wants Savi to just focus on her exams. After quickly changing his clothes, Ishaan notices Savi’s gift next to his photograph. She joins him and inquires about the gift. He immediately queries her about it and she explains that she had bought it for him the previous day, but hesitated to give it to him as she wasn’t sure if he deserved it. Changing the subject, Ishaan asks if she completed the paperwork he had given her. Savi responds that she finished half of it. Annoyed, Ishaan admonishes her for not completing the task and questions why she felt the need to purchase a gift. Savi clarifies that it was just a customary gesture on her part.
Meanwhile, Prateek keeps calling Ishaan, who chooses to ignore his calls. However, when Savi asks about it, he scolds her for neglecting her studies and focusing more on cooking and rituals instead. Ashamed, Savi apologizes but Prateek calls again and Ishaan finally picks up. Confused by his startled reaction upon receiving the call, Savi is left wondering what could have happened and why Prateek kept trying to reach Ishaan incessantly until then.
