Jhanak 12th April 2024 Written Update Sunken Jhanak. The family discusses Anirudh and Arshi’s marriage. Tanuja invites Avinash to the wedding. Avinash agrees to come if his dad is fine. Jhanak comes for the Ashirwad ritual. Avinash finds Choton and Anjana caring for Jhanak. He says that he is glad to see the family showering love on Jhanak. Bipasha says that Jhanak should get his love, so he can keep her under control and not spoil her much. Avinash says that Jhanak needs to follow the rules of his house. Shrishti says that once Jhanak gets married and settles in Avinash’s house, she will learn everything and adjust. Avinash stares at her and falls for her beauty. Shrishti finds Avinash’s raised interest in Jhanak. She wants him to remember that Tejas is going to marry Jhanak.
Choton compliments Jhanak. He praises Jhanak’s beauty packed with simplicity. He blesses Jhanak to stay happy in her life. Appu creates a scene and the family rebukes her. Jhanak tries to calm down Appu. Appu tells Avinash that she can’t live without Jhanak. She asks him to get Jhanak home every week. The family members try to silence Appu. Anjana controls Appu. Arshi tells Shrishti that Anirudh is engaged in some work. Anirudh makes a late entry. Jhanak looks at Anirudh with tears welling in her eyes. Avinash tells Anirudh about preponing the marriage because of his dad’s illness. Anirudh wants to talk to him about Jhanak’s studies. Jhanak sits numb while the rituals are done. She refuses to accept the jewelry.
Avinash’s Mami asks her what else she needs. She reminds Jhanak what her duties will be once she marries Avinash. Jhanak says that she is different and wants something else from her life. Anirudh wishes she would speak up and take a stand for her future. Jhanak and Anirudh share an eye lock. She gets rebuked by Tanuja and Shrishti. Shrishti silents Jhanak. She orders Jhanak to touch the feet of Avinash’s Mami. Jhanak obeys her. Shrishti asks Arshi to make Jhanak wear the jewelry. She says that Jhanak should learn to adjust according to her new family. Jhanak gets sad. Anirudh requests Avinash to allow Jhanak to give her exams.
Avinash says that Jhanak just has to handle the house and doesn’t need any education or a job. Anirudh says that Jhanak’s education will secure her future. Avinash disagrees. He assures that he has much money to secure his wife’s future. He refuses to support Jhanak’s education. He puts restrictions on Jhanak. Anirudh says that Jhanak is free to make choices in her life. Avinash says that his family is conservative, a man and a woman can never get equal, a woman has a duty towards her husband and she should just stay confined in the four walls. Anirudh gets upset with Avinash’s narrow thinking.
Arshi asks Anirudh why is he putting pressure on Avinash. Anirudh answers that he is doing whatever is necessary for Jhanak, knowing that he won’t be able to meet her once she gets married. Shrishti says that Anirudh is serious about everyone’s education and career. She disrespects Anirudh and Jhanak’s marital bond built in the past. She states that Anirudh regards Jhanak as his sister and cares for her education. Anirudh and Jhanak get upset hearing Shrishti’s cheap remarks. Anjana performs the ritual and blesses Jhanak. Jhanak gets emotional when Appu also comes forward to bless her.
Appu also wishes good for Jhanak. Jhanak says that she doesn’t want any gift when Appu is herself a gift. Anirudh is happy to see Jhanak and Appu’s bond. Shrishti tells Tanuja that she wants to give a gift to Jhanak. She gifts a diamond necklace. She asks Arshi to make Jhanak wear it. She belittles Jhanak. Jhanak stays silent. Anirudh feels bad but doesn’t admit his feelings. Choton asks Anirudh if he is upset. Anirudh denies it. Jhanak sits for the Haldi rasam. Appu spills the haldi over Anirudh. The same haldi is applied to Jhanak.
