Jhanak 23rd June 2024 Written Update Wedding scrapped. As Shrishti walks onto the stage, she greets the crowd and exclaims her excitement for this long-awaited day. She also requests blessings for her daughter Arshi. After her speech, Appu is welcomed to perform a song, causing her to become ecstatic. Anirudh is then invited to sing following Appu’s performance. Appu’s beautiful voice leaves the audience delighted. Subsequently, the entire family joins in a group dance, joyfully celebrating the occasion. Arshi and Anirudh join in as well, adding their love to the festivities. Upon arriving at the Bose residence, Mrinalini is greeted by Choton’s mother.
After admiring the beautifully decorated house, she learns that Choton has taken charge of everything himself. Later on, while Choton is enjoying the program, Mrinalini approaches him. Initially feeling nervous and irritated upon seeing her, he attempts to leave but she stops him. Amused by teasing him, Mrinalini also has a lingering thought in Choton’s mind – the fear that she may reveal their interaction to his family and cause trouble for him. Following the family’s special dance performance, Jhanak is finally invited to showcase her talent on stage. Anticipation builds as she prepares for her performance.
However, she is instructed to perform in a mujra style, and afterward, several audience members offer her money to hire her services. Despite feeling humiliated, Jhanak is still offered money. To make matters worse, Arshi publicly embarrasses Jhanak, but she refuses to stay silent. Witnessing this mistreatment of Jhanak, Anirudh firmly speaks out and highlights their wrongdoings. He staunchly defends Jhanak and stands up for her. Will Shrishti compel Anirudh and Jhanak to sign a document denying their previous marriage? If so, will their marriage be annulled? Anirudh expresses disappointment over the way Jhanak was treated during her performance at her Didi’s sangeet. He believes she is a skilled dancer and artist, and cannot bear to see her being insulted. When Arshi questions his reaction, Anirudh clarifies that he did not intend to accuse anyone of deliberately insulting Jhanak. However, he does feel that as hosts, they should have stood up for her when needed. Arshi disagrees with Anirudh’s views and feels that they should focus on celebrating rather than fighting. Anirudh ultimately decides not to cause any further distress and apologizes to the guests for the unpleasant incident. Shrishti also reminds him that they were not aware of Jhanak’s relation to them before inviting her to perform. The men apologize for any misunderstanding and clarify that they were informed about a professional performance at the event without knowing it was Shrishti’s niece.
Tanuja inquires about Anirudh’s actions and the necessity of announcing Jhanak as Shrishti’s niece to everyone. Anirudh gestures towards Choton and Jhanak, who then depart together. Jhanak greets Mrinalini and asks about her well-being. Mrinalini apologizes if Jhanak felt offended, but praises her exceptional performance and ability to win over the audience. Bipasha clarifies that their intention was not to insult anyone, as they simply wanted to allow Jhanak to perform. Lal announces that there is still a special performance remaining- Anirudh will be singing for them. Arshi declines the invitation to sing alongside Anirudh, but he assures her he will still include her in his performance. Knowing that he needs to impress to keep Jhanak by his side, Anirudh dedicates the song to Arshi and captivates everyone with his romantic rendition. He dreams of a romantic dance with Jhanak.
Bipasha instructs everyone to remain in place for a photo session. Anirudh embraces Arshi affectionately and catches Jhanak’s gaze. Arshi also notices Jhanak staring at them. Despite feeling emotional, Anirudh puts on a happy facade. Meanwhile, Jhanak wishes that Arshi stays happy with her partner. Later, when Arshi and Shrishti return home, Arshi speaks to Pihu over the phone while Shrishti expresses her anger towards Jhanak for constantly trying to compete with Arshi and wanting to surpass her own mother Urvashi’s deeds. Vinayak interrupts their discussion and questions Shrishti’s behavior towards Jhanak, reminding her of how they were advising her just a while ago. Arshi defends herself and denies any involvement in the situation while Shrishti continues to argue with Vinayak.
Vinayak inquires if he should disclose everything in front of Arshi. Shrishti affirms, insisting that Vinayak enlighten her regarding the cost Urvashi paid for her actions. However, Vinayak defends Urvashi, claiming she was unjustly framed by a group of individuals. Shrishti demands to know the identities of these people, stating it is crucial information she must obtain today. Vinayak sympathizes with Jhanak’s plight, acknowledging the injustice done against her as an insult to all artists. But Shrishti disagrees and deems Jhanak unworthy and inferior to Arshi’s superiority. She expresses disgust towards Jhanak and threatens to take matters into her own hands by giving her a medicine that will prevent any attempts at romancing Anirudh. This news alarms Arshi.
Lal presents the Sangeet photo album to Tanuja who admires its beautiful pictures. While Jhanak prepares tea upon request, Bipasha suggests that Kahwa would bring a glowing effect on their faces. Rumi joins in to view the photos and Bipasha points out Jhanak’s presence in some of them, but Lal dismisses the subject. As Jhanak brings the Kahwa, Bipasha invites her to join in and browse through the pictures with them. Arshi expresses her approval for Tanuja’s choices and shows Jhanak a picture of herself with Anirudh, which she believes is perfect for them as a couple.
