Jhanak confirms that the task has been completed. Anirudh then takes Arshi to dance, while Choton laments that his family is trying to distance themselves from him. Mrinalini reassures him by saying that his family is not bad. He questions her, “Why would I lie to you? Why am I confiding in you?” He reveals that he did not get married and has nothing, which makes it difficult for someone to marry him. She disagrees and tells him she doesn’t want to hear his sad story. Giving up on persuading her, he simply asks for his money back. During the Mehendi ceremony, Anirudh and Arshi share a dance.
Shrishti, observing from afar, notices how happy Anirudh seems while dancing with Arshi. This makes Jhanak feel sad, as she believes that Anirudh is only happy because she pointed out Arshi to him. She can’t help but think about him. Meanwhile, Mrinalini hands over some money to Choton who expresses his gratitude and then proceeds to ask her if she will be joining him tomorrow. Uncertainly, she responds that she will consider it. He then asks her why someone like her, who comes from a good family and is so beautiful and educated, hasn’t gotten married yet. He adds that perhaps it’s because of her short temper. Offended, Mrinalini retorts asking how he dares to say such things.
Choton, nonchalantly replies that he is not well-educated and was merely bringing it up as a warning. Confused by his behavior, Mrinalini inquires why he felt the need to warn her. He brushes off the question and simply suggests they meet again tomorrow before leaving without further explanation or apology for his rude comments earlier. Shubh invites Arshi to his home for a special reason. Curious, Arshi asks for more information. Shubh reveals that he has a solution to their problems. Lal encourages him to share the details. Shubh then mentions the need for Ani’s signature on a document before the upcoming function. Tanuja wonders if Ani will have any objections. Arshi assures her otherwise but insists on his presence.
Shubh agrees and asks Lal to call Anirudh over. He emphasizes not wanting any drama or demands from Jhanak, but Bipasha adds that she may ask for money or even something more. Tanuja seeks clarification, and Lal informs them about Jhanak’s request to meet with Anirudh separately. Anirudh confesses that he is willing to cover the wedding expenses, but his father is not in agreement. Lal clarifies the current situation and urges him to join the discussion with Shubh and Arshi at home, while Jhanak silently worries about preparing dinner for everyone on time and questions her internal conflict over Anirudh’s feelings for Arshi. Arshi and Bipasha make disparaging comments about Jhanak, while Tanuja points out her lack of status. Bipasha apologizes but adds that Anirudh has changed. Arshi argues that it’s been for the better. Shubh reassures Jhanak that everything will be resolved once the document is signed, mentioning that she is the only one who truly understands him.
Shubh is concerned about the fact that Anirudh tends to help everyone. Arshi mentions that Anirudh was emotionally inclined towards Jhanak, while Tanuja suggests focusing on a different topic. However, Arshi believes this topic will continue to arise due to her humiliation. Bipasha advises her to move on and forget it. Meanwhile, Lal brings Anirudh into the conversation. Shubh explains that they need to discuss something important to prevent any complications arising in their upcoming wedding and rasam. He clarifies that they don’t want anyone else interfering in their relationship, to which Anirudh agrees. Tanuja admires his loyalty towards Arshi and reassures them both of their strong bond.
Shubh refrains from giving further details and mentions that they will be updated by their lawyer as they are all busy with preparations for the wedding. Curious, Anirudh asks what the matter is. Shubh reveals that his previous marriage with Jhanak was not out of love but out of necessity, and they now need to legally dismiss it in order to avoid any future complications or gossip. He requests Anirudh and Jhanak’s signatures on a document. Shubh announces that tomorrow will be Anirudh’s turn to make rasam. He reminds Jhanak that she needs to sign a document in order to prevent a repeat of this situation. Anirudh also needs to sign the document. As Anirudh catches sight of Jhanak, he takes notice.
Anirudh pleads with Jhanak not to sign the document, knowing she won’t make any demands. Jhanak agrees to sign only if Anirudh does. Shubh reminds them that the document must be signed tomorrow, stating that they were married under duress and can file for a decree of nullity. Jhanak promises to sign wherever they instruct her to. She then excuses herself to set the dinner table before leaving. Jhanak approaches Anjana and expresses concern about potential gossip and Arshi’s feelings. Anjana apologizes, acknowledging her own discomfort as well.
Jhanak firmly states that the situation will persist as long as she remains in the home. Anjana mentions that Anirudh promised to make arrangements for Jhanak’s stay, but Jhanak asserts that she can manage on her own with support from Anjana and Appu. Concerned for Jhanak’s well-being, Anjana insists that she is aware of when a child is unwell or unhappy. Thoughts running through Jhanak’s mind, she realizes that she hasn’t eaten all day and contemplates leaving. Anjana encourages her to eat some food before going to serve tea to the guests. Uninterested in eating at the moment, Jhanak politely declines and goes to serve tea instead. Learning of guests’ arrival, Dadu advises Jhanak to get dressed while Dadi suggests choosing nice clothes.
Jhanak worries about her clothes getting ruined during work duties, but Dadi instructs Bablu to take the guests upstairs. Anirudh contacts Arshi and inquires about her whereabouts. She confirms that she will arrive in 2 minutes. Meanwhile, Jhanak arrives and Anirudh nearly bumps into her. In annoyance, he engages in a heated discussion with her. Jhanak kindly suggests they have tea together. Anirudh mentions the impending arrival of Arshi and her family. Jhanak asks if there is anything she can do to assist. Anirudh requests that she takes care of their guests with utmost hospitality, to which she agrees. They both head downstairs where Shubh has prepared the document and placed it on the table for them to review.
Shubh shares the story of Anirudh and Jhanak with his relatives, explaining that they had married against their wishes. He clarifies that Jhanak is not from a wealthy family like theirs and is only distantly related to Shrishti. Despite some of their own relatives not being well-off, this fact does not sit well with Shubh. Additionally, he mentions that Anirudh is in a committed relationship with Arshi. However, he mentions that Jhanak has a passion for dance and once Arshi gets married, she will leave. For this reason, he wants their marriage to be annulled. Shubh instructs Anirudh to sign the papers and Jhanak tearfully follows suit as everyone applauds. She states that she has no reason to refuse signing the papers.
