Jhanak 22nd July 2024 Written Update Unexpected. Jhanak is being questioned by the management team, to which Guru ji calmly responds that he has no issue with her work. However, when the students approach with complaints about Jhanak, the lady in charge asks who recommended her. After finding out, she instructs Jhanak to leave the premises. At this point, Guru ji intervenes and reveals that he was the one who brought Jhanak in, but his intentions were for her to make tea rather than perform on stage as she did. Muskaan expresses disbelief at this revelation.
The lady then confronts Jhanak and accuses her of giving an unsolicited audition without permission. Dadu chimes in, berating Choton for lying and ruining their family’s reputation before instructing him to apologize to Mrinalini’s school. Anjana questions why Choton felt the need to fabricate so many stories, to which he responds by explaining that he was pressured into marriage and lacks the means to provide happiness for a wife. In response, Dadu and Dadi assert that they do not want his “bad influence,” reminding him that they are still his parents despite his current struggles and asking him to address their concerns honestly. The management reprimands Jhanak for her actions.
Guru ji acknowledges that he was the one who brought her to this audition and insisted on her participation, which ultimately resulted in her success on stage. He stands by his decision and believes it would be unjust if he were to not support her. The lady reminds him of their contractual agreement and that he should fulfill his duties and receive his payment. Frustrated, he decides to terminate their contract. Brij interrupts and points out that Rudra Pratap is naive in not recognizing Jhanak’s true nature. He knows the harm she has caused others and now it’s Rudra Pratap’s turn to face consequences. Jhanak is taken aback while Dadi reaffirms that they cannot force Choton into any decisions.
Dadu and Dadi defend Mrinalini. Choton disagrees, claiming she mistreats him. Dadi argues that it was Choton’s lie that caused her behavior; she’s not a bad person. Choton defends himself by saying he had no choice in the matter. This angers Dadu and he scolds him. Brij probes, questioning why Jhanak was introduced to dance. Guru ji praises Jhanak’s talent and argues with them. The lady insists that Jhanak must leave the job, while she pleads to not be fired. The man requests for a promise to not repeat the same mistake in the future. Guru ji dismisses the idea. Choton defends his actions, stating his dislike for Mrinalini. Dadi believes she can guide him towards better behavior. However, he firmly refuses to marry her.
Dadu then suggests they go on a Chaar Dhaam yatra and brings up Choton’s responsibility towards them. Dadi decides to join them on the trip as well. Choton expresses concern about leaving them alone, but Dadu feels they can manage on their own. Anjana urges Choton to agree for marriage, but he explains his reasons for refusing. Dadu then suggests they go their separate ways, causing Anjana to protest against breaking up the family that has always stayed together. Jhanak expresses her desire for this job, to which Guru ji responds by offering her the position as his assistant and providing her with financial compensation.
He compares their relationship to one of a father and daughter, drawing a parallel to the characters from Mahabharat. He then clarifies that Jhanak will not be taking on any work besides dancing. The man understands that this means she will leave their job to participate in the show. In response, Guru ji reminds him that it is ultimately the channel’s decision and questions why he has an issue with it. He also mentions feeling insulted by their actions and threatens to take his grievances to other choreographers, dancers, and possibly even the media. This could potentially have consequences for their production house.
Anjana turns to Choton and requests his compliance. He responds, asking if Mrinalini will agree as well. Dadi intervenes, advising him to apologize and promising to talk to Mrinalini on their behalf. Anjana reminds Choton that Mrinalini values her self-respect and urges him to make amends for his mistake and not say anything hurtful. Dadu considers whether they should proceed with the marriage or not. Frustrated, Choton remarks that no one ever listens to him. The others share a smile at his remark. Tanuja inquires about Jhanak’s whereabouts, while Shubh speculates that she may be biding her time before trapping Anirudh.
Brij inquires about Rudra and expresses his concern over Jhanak’s behavior. Jhanak questions how well he knows her. He responds that he knows enough and will reveal more when the time is right. Jhanak pleads for him to stop threatening her, asking what wrong she has done. He accuses her of ruining the life of Arshi Mukherjee, Shrishti’s daughter and his best student. Jhanak defends herself by stating that she is just an ordinary girl while they are wealthy and powerful, questioning what she could possibly have taken from them. She also wonders why he hates her when they have only met a few times, insisting that she has done nothing wrong. However, she realizes he must know something since he mentioned it affecting his reputation if it were to come out.
Guru ji then intervenes, stating his need to go to the channel but offering connections to allow Jhanak to perform if they don’t stop her. The man reassures them not to worry and allows Jhanak to assist Guru ji instead of doing the job assigned. Jhanak agrees and leaves with Rudra.
