With Romiit Raaj’s entry, the show is back on the top. In the current track of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata hai, Rohit can’t help but vent anger on the ones he hates the most, Armaan and Ruhi. He feels badly cheated by them. Rohit expresses his gratitude for having Ruhi as his wife, to which she responds by admitting she should have been honest with him.
He then confesses that he left their home because of Armaan and Ruhi’s relationship, and also suggests they may have wished for him to die to get married. She asks him not to say wrong things because Armaan and she never wished trouble for Rohit.
Ruhi interrupts and pleads for him to stop, reminding him that she was ready to move on with him but he left the house without speaking to her. She urges him not to insult her again. However, Rohit insists that she married him simply for an affair with Armaan and calls her “disgusting.” He says that she wanted to marry the Poddar family, just to continue an affair with his brother. This allegation causes Ruhi to lose her temper and slap him. Rohit becomes emotional, feeling bad for accusing her.

Ruhi expresses her regret to Rohit, acknowledging her numerous mistakes and apologizing profusely. As she turns to leave, her dupatta accidentally catches fire. With concern, he rushes to extinguish the flames and checks if she is unharmed. Ruhi notices his genuine worry for her well-being. She turns emotional and goes ahead to hold his face with love.
However, he prevents her from feigning affection towards him, accusing her of only returning to alleviate his guilt through insincere drama. He declares that he will not be fooled by her dramatics or give in to any lingering feelings for her. In frustration, he storms out, leaving a heartbroken Ruhi behind.
