YRKKH 18th August 2024 Written Update Abhira’s New Name. Abhira and Armaan check the rings to select for their engagement. Abhira gets worried seeing the expensive rings and goes away. Rohit tells Ruhi he wants to gift her a ring for their new start. Vidya goes to Abhira and finds her crying. Abhira tells Vidya that she has nothing to give to Armaan. Vidya soothes her with the thought that money doesn’t matter. She asks Abhira not to stress about money. She says that Abhira is independent and doesn’t need to worry, because Armaan never gets money between relationships. Madhav tells that he has to go to the police station. Manoj offers to drop him. Armaan selects a few rings.
Ahead in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Today, Ruhi rushes to get the ring of his choice. Armaan picks up the ring in time and stops her. Rohit gets upset watching Ruhi. Manisha finds the situation bad and suggests they go to Armaan’s room. She tells Rohit that they can’t interfere in Armaan and Abhira’s engagement. She asks Ruhi to not come between them. She tells that they can call the jeweller’s home again if they want to buy a ring. She asks Armaan to take a stand if anything wrong is happening. Vidya tells Abhira that Armaan values his family over everything.
Kaveri overhears them. Abhira asks if she isn’t enough for him. She regrets that she can’t afford this. Vidya says that Armaan can afford it, if he can handle the finances, then she can handle him emotionally. She encourages Abhira to settle down well. Kaveri is pleased. Vidya asks Abhira to come and buy a ring. Abhira goes to select a less expensive ring. Kaveri suggests that Abhira change her name and move on with the family. She wants to name her Pratima. The family is shocked at Kaveri’s thought.
Abhira can’t believe it. Kaveri says that she has chosen a nice name for Abhira so that the latter doesn’t fight with anyone and brings grace to the family. Abhira refuses to Kaveri. She says that she can’t change her name. Kaveri angrily lectures Abhira. Ruhi is glad to watch the drama. Kaveri reminds Abhira about past troubles. She wants Abhira and Armaan to stay happy. She gives some time to Abhira to decide. Vidya says that Kaveri has stressed Abhira.
Armaan lands up there and asks Abhira if she didn’t choose the ring. He tells her that he is waiting for her to choose a ring for him. He finds her stressed. He asks her to stay happy and smiling, as she is the would-be bride. She selects the ring for him. He tells that the ring is worth 25 lakhs. She finds it too much. He says that she shouldn’t have any problem with the price. He wants the moment to be memorable when they exchange the rings. Abhira sadly goes away and gets stressed about losing her name.
