In Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai today, Armaan tells Kaveri that Abhira tried a lot to save the ring, the robbers attempted to steal it, but she fought them bravely and secured the ring, and even then she lost the ring to someone. He defends Abhira who wanted to tell the truth to Kaveri. Abhira takes responsibility for her mistake. Kaveri angrily yells at them and decides to call off the engagement. Ruhi gets happy that Kaveri is upset. Abhira apologizes to Kaveri. Kaveri says that she has given many chances to Abhira. Abhira gets fainting due to stress. Armaan holds her in his arms. Manish gets the ring thrown by Kaveri.
He checks it and tells Kaveri that the ring is real. He is very sure about it. Ruhi realizes that the rings got swapped by mistake. Kaveri tells that Manish is lying to support Abhira. Manish says that a fake ring would have been damaged after getting hit. He proves to them that the ring is real. He washes the ring with milk and wipes it clean. He asks Abhira to take the ring and get engaged to Armaan. Armaan and Abhira thank him. Kaveri asks Abhira to make Armaan wear the ring. Abhira gets her lost smile back. Manish blesses them.
Everyone congratulates them. Manisha realizes Ruhi’s plans. She has seen her changing the ring to stop Abhira’s engagement. She finds the real ring and swaps it with the fake one. She wants to expose Ruhi’s truth at the right time. Armaan tells Abhira that Kaveri will also love her and accept her heartily. He asks Abhira for a kiss, as they got engaged now. Manish asks Kaveri to forget everything. Kaveri tells him that her faith is broken. Manish says that Abhira has told the truth to keep her faith. He adds that she has to give time to Abhira and forgive her for little mistakes. She asks him if he thinks Abhira can manage the responsibilities.
He says that Abhira might surprise Kaveri with her abilities. Kaveri wants Abhira to prove her wrong. Later, Armaan and Abhira have a romantic moment. They get hindered by the family. Abhira rushes away. Armaan gets irritated by his siblings. Ruhi weeps in sorrow and wonders how she lost the real ring. Rohit finds her upset and cares for her. She vents anger at him. She then apologizes. He asks for her help.
Meanwhile, Sanjay belittles Abhira. He says that she has succeeded in making her life easy and lavish. He applauds her planning to turn rich so soon. In the next episode, Ruhi continues to create troubles for Abhira. Abhira wants to manage some expenses for her wedding functions. She feels bad that Poddars is spending too much.
