As seen in the last episode of Megha Barsenge, Arjun overhears Shalini, a lawyer, defending another case and stops her, pleading for help in proving Megha’s innocence. Arjun explains that his friend Megha has been framed by Manoj, but Shalini hesitates to get involved, pointing out that drugs were found on Megha, making the case difficult.
Elsewhere, Ranjeeta tries to reach Megha but is unable to connect. She calls Manoj, who lies, saying that Megha has gone mad, started using drugs, and has been arrested. Surinder, who had previously warned against sending Megha to Georgia, gets upset and feels chest pain. Megha is being bullied in the cell and calls for help, but the jailmates hurt her. Later, Arjun visits Megha and is shocked to see her injuries. She begs him for help, saying that her life is in danger. Arjun reassures her that he will do everything possible to get her out.
Shalini observes their interaction, and Arjun asks her to use her legal expertise to help Megha. However, Shalini points out the seriousness of the drug charges and warns that Megha could face five years in prison. Arjun explains that Manoj had tricked Megha into a simple marriage and then stole money from her account and took out loans in her name. Shalini, however, insists that proving her innocence won’t be easy and that since Arjun isn’t a relative, he cannot do much to help.
As Megha is dragged away, Shalini tells Arjun to stop interfering, warning that it could make things worse for Megha. Arjun, devastated, vows not to sit idly by and promises to get Megha out of jail. Later, he is told by Shalini that getting bail could take up to 15 days, which frustrates him. Despite Shalini’s advice to wait, Arjun is determined to find another way, as he promised Megha he would help her. Meanwhile, Megha is further bullied by fellow prisoners, and during a forced shower, one of them stabs her, leaving her screaming in pain. At the same time, Surinder wakes up from a nightmare, shouting Megha’s name.

Megha gets stabbed while in jail. Shalini learns about the incident and informs Arjun. Arjun rushes to the hospital and is shocked to see Megha unconscious. He observes her injuries and bandages, feeling unsure about where to touch her so as not to cause her pain. He gently holds her head and hand, crying. As he is about to leave, his watch gets stuck on her bandage, prompting him to stay.
Megha regains consciousness and tells Arjun that she fought just like he had told her to. She expresses her belief that she didn’t lose and trusts that Arjun will get her out of jail. She reassures him that she will wait for him, and he becomes emotional. When she notices him crying, she asks why. He points to her injuries, but she jokes, asking if she doesn’t look good. He teases her, saying she looks like a monkey, which makes her smile. Megha recalls that Arjun once said her name means “hope.”
She acknowledges that even though Arjun means nothing to her, he has stood by her side throughout her struggles. Arjun, feeling guilty, apologizes, saying his involvement in her life has only caused trouble. She asks if he informed her family about her arrest, but he reminds her that she had asked him not to. They share a light moment when she asks if he’s afraid of her, and he nods, making them both laugh.
Megha then urges Arjun to return to India, but he refuses, stating he won’t leave until she’s released. He promises they’ll return to India together, and playfully tells her she’s the most beautiful girl in the world.
The doctor arrives and, in a cold tone, asks Arjun if he’s there to see a criminal. Arjun sternly responds, insisting that Megha is not a criminal. He questions the doctor about how Megha got injured, and she explains that such fights are common in jail, but Megha is lucky to have only minor injuries.
Meanwhile, Surindar, worried about Megha, asks Ranjeeta about her condition. Ranjeeta tries to calm him down, reminding him that he recently had a mild heart attack and shouldn’t stress himself. However, Surindar insists on finding Megha, but Ranjeeta promises to handle it.
Later, Ranjeeta confronts Manoj’s parents, demanding to know Megha’s whereabouts. Manoj’s father suggests that Megha must have done something wrong to end up in jail. Furious, Ranjeeta beats him with a whip. He warns her she can’t act like that, but she tells him she’s been suspended from her job and has nothing to lose. She demands he call Manoj.
Back at the hospital, Arjun brings Megha some *kada prasad*, reminding her of when she once gave it to him. He feeds it to her, but she starts coughing, so he quickly gives her water. Megha admits that she knows her case is weak, but when Arjun asks if she trusts him, she says she does, though she doesn’t know why. Arjun then expresses his determination to get her out of jail, even though he doesn’t fully understand why.
