In Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai written update today, Manish requests Abhira for permission to perform the wedding ritual, as he wants to bring happiness to his daughter’s life, wherever she may be. Abhira grants Manish his wish. This leaves Swarna in shock. Meanwhile, Ruhi has made up her mind to marry Armaan and is eagerly waiting to meet him. However, Armaan asks Vidya for her support, only to be ignored by her. Taking matters into her own hands, Kaveri performs the ritual on behalf of Vidya and urges Armaan to give Vidya some time. She then instructs the Poddar to get ready for the wedding ceremony, much to Armaan’s disappointment over Vidya’s absence.

Seeing his distress, Madhav advises Armaan to focus on his upcoming marriage instead and decides to have a conversation with Vidya about it. As Sanjay questions Kaveri about losing out to Abhira, she calmly replies that she is focused on preparing for tomorrow and believes that luck will eventually be on her side. As Ruhi arrives at the temple, Manisha and Manoj enlist Shambhu’s help to transport the items., Rohit searches for Ruhi, who had previously informed him of her plans to meet directly at the venue. Rohit can’t help but feel like Ruhi is trying to distance herself from him.

Madhav encourages Vidya to attend Armaan’s wedding and let go of any animosity towards him. Madhav also questions Armaan and Vidya’s relationship, to which Vidya explains that Armaan sees her as his stepmother and has chosen Abhira over her. Despite Madhav’s pleas, Vidya refuses to support Armaan on his big day, believing it to be a mistake. As they part ways, Madhav leaves Vidya alone after she requests for some privacy by asking him to shut the door behind him. Ruhi confidently declares that not even God can prevent her from marrying Armaan. She proceeds to make arrangements for their wedding. Abhira eagerly waits for Armaan’s arrival at the venue, where the Poddar family brings the baraat. To celebrate, Abhira and Armaan dance together.

Manish steps up to perform a ritual for Armaan, who is becoming increasingly restless. Swarna expresses her worries about Ruhi as she watches from afar. Abhira gratefully thanks Swarna for always being there for her and considers her a part of her own family, receiving blessings from her in return. Overcome with emotion, Abhira becomes teary-eyed. The pandit asks Armaan to wash his hands before the ceremony. Madhav mentions that Vidya initially refused to attend the wedding but Manoj believes she will change her mind and come.

Vidya reflects on her feelings towards Armaan. Shambhu stops Armaan from leaving and tries to harm him. As Armaan awaits Vidya’s arrival, she becomes emotional when remembering that he had refused to support him in the past, causing her to see herself as his stepmother. Finally, Abhira arrives at the venue to meet Armaan. Armaan gets excited to see her, but Shambhu blocks his way. He threatens Armaan and gives him Ruhi’s message. Armaan heads to meet Ruhi by leaving the mandap.
