YRKKH 24th October 2024 Written Update Armaan’s vow. In Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai written update today, Abhira finds herself standing in the rain, but to her surprise, she isn’t getting drenched. When she turns around, she sees Armaan holding an umbrella over her. She tries to tell him that she was about to share some big news—her pregnancy—but Armaan remains silent and simply helps her into the car. As he does so, he recalls all the times he noticed subtle changes in her behavior, but Abhira had always reassured him that she was fine. Once she’s inside the car, Armaan locks the door, leaving her alone as he stands outside in the rain.
Abhira panics and yells at Armaan to stop drenching himself in the rain, worried about his health. Armaan, deeply hurt, finally speaks up. He tells her how frustrated he is that she kept her pregnancy a secret from him. He admits that he needs space because he’s afraid he might say something he’ll regret in his anger. He then asks her when she found out she was pregnant. Abhira reveals that she discovered her pregnancy on the day of Garba, which was also the day Dadi was attacked.
Armaan, visibly upset, questions why she didn’t tell him sooner. He is especially hurt because she had told others but kept him in the dark. Abhira explains that she had planned a surprise to share the news, but everything went wrong that day. She pleads with him to come inside the car so they can go home, where Dadi can explain everything.
Armaan’s pain deepens when he learns that even Dadi knew about the pregnancy before him. He accuses Abhira of making him look like the villain by hiding this important news from him. Despite her desperate pleas, Armaan stays outside, grappling with his emotions.
Suddenly, Armaan realizes that Abhira’s pregnancy might come with complications. Concerned, he unlocks the car door and asks if she’s at risk. Abhira avoids answering directly, insisting they go home. However, Armaan takes the medical reports from her bag and reads them, learning that her pregnancy could endanger her life. Abhira tries to comfort him, hugging him tightly and saying, “You are my life, and nothing will happen to me. Together, we can welcome our baby into this world. With Dadi Sa’s blessings and your love, I’ll be fine.”
Meanwhile, Charu and Neeraj, two other family members, are enjoying their time together. When they return home, they are happy to see their family united. Abhira and Armaan arrive home as well, and Dad notices they are drenched from the rain. Abhira reassures him that everything is fine and takes Armaan to Dadi Sa’s room. There, she reminds Dadi Sa of her promise to speak to Armaan about the pregnancy, but Dadi, having taken strong medicine, claims she doesn’t remember anything from the previous night. She asks Abhira to explain the situation again. Before Abhira can say anything, Armaan steps in and says they will sort things out themselves, leading Abhira out of the room.
In their private moment, Armaan tells Abhira that he can’t let her risk her life for the pregnancy. Abhira, determined, shows him the sonography report and says, “This is our baby. Our child will solve all our problems.” Armaan is overwhelmed with emotion as Abhira tries to convince him to happily welcome their baby. She even calls the child their “DSP baby.” Despite the touching moment, Armaan is haunted by memories of a woman who died during childbirth, and the fear of losing Abhira overwhelms him. He tells her he can’t bear the thought of losing her because of the pregnancy.
Without telling Abhira, Armaan calls the doctor to inquire about the termination procedure. Abhira, horrified, begs him to stop, but Armaan is resolute. He tells her, “I can’t watch you risk your life. Don’t you realize how much it would destroy me if something happened to you? I’d rather die in that case.” Abhira tries to reassure him that everything will be okay, but Armaan, devastated, insists that they must terminate the pregnancy. “I can’t let our baby go through the same pain I did,” he says, referring to his own past trauma. He leaves the room, leaving Abhira in tears.
Outside in the garden, Armaan breaks down as he holds the sonography report, apologizing to their unborn baby. He confesses, “I can’t risk Abhira’s life to bring you into the world.” Overcome with guilt and sorrow, he is on the verge of collapsing when Manish arrives. Sensing that something is wrong, Manish asks whom Armaan is apologizing to. Armaan quickly hides the sonography report and tells Manish that he can’t reveal anything yet but promises that he will always stand by Abhira no matter what.
