Concerned, Ruhi remarks that Abhira seems unusually troubled today. Rohit reassures her, joking that it might just be about Karwa Chauth, but Ruhi disagrees. She points out that Armaan, who is deeply devoted to Abhira, wouldn’t be bothered by a mere fast, implying that the issue runs deeper. Rohit suggests she relax and promises to discuss things with Armaan.
Meanwhile, Abhira sits alone, draped in the shadows under a curtain, reflecting on Armaan’s harsh words. She speaks softly to her unborn child, reassuring it not to take Armaan’s words to heart. Her pain is evident as she blames herself, believing Armaan’s misfortune is loving her amidst all their troubles. She imagines how joyful he would have been, dancing in the streets and doting on their baby if life had been different. Just then, Armaan arrives, silently taking her into his embrace as they both break down, sharing the burden of their pain.
“Why is this happening to us?” Armaan asks her. Abhira, feeling guilt, tries to shoulder the blame, but Armaan refuses to let her. Vulnerable and determined, she expresses her longing for a complete family and a happy future for their child, pleading with him to support her and their baby. Although hesitant, Armaan listens as Abhira tries to reignite his faith in their shared dream of a family, hoping to find a way forward together.
Krish and cousins gang walk in on Armaan and Abhira, mistaking their emotional moment for romance. Charu teases Armaan, and both he and Abhira quickly compose themselves, wiping away their tears. Armaan jokes that their timing is impeccable, lightening the mood. Charu then mentions that they’ve prepared clothes for the event, and Aryan shows them pictures. Ruhi notices Abhira’s sadness, and Rohit discreetly asks Armaan if everything is okay. Armaan assures him and distracts by asking Krish about shoe options. Ruhi and Rohit exchange concerned glances.
The next morning, Dadi blesses Charu, warding off any bad luck, and compliments her, giving her a family ring. Vidya, feeling proud, says Charu is like a daughter to her, and everyone shares smiles. When Neeraj arrives with his family, Charu confirms her happiness with him, and everyone teases Neeraj for blushing. As the engagement preparations continue, Vidya suggests waiting for Armaan and Abhira, which raises suspicions, especially for Ruhi, who senses something is amiss.
Meanwhile, Armaan helps a sorrowful Abhira get ready, trying to cheer her up. Finally, the couple arrives at the engagement, with Armaan making an excuse about an important work call. Manisha and Vidya subtly criticize Armaan for prioritizing work over family. Observing Abhira’s sadness, Kiara notes that she doesn’t look her usual self. Despite the underlying tension, Charu and Neeraj complete the engagement ceremony, and everyone applauds, though hints of concern linger.
Charu and Neeraj seek blessings from the elders after their engagement. Krish compliments Charu, and they take photos together. Charu invites Armaan and Abhira for pictures, but both appear sad. Vidya insists Rohit and Ruhi join them for photos, and although reluctant, they comply. Meanwhile, Sanjay notices Manish arriving and tries to send him away, reminding him that Charu’s engagement is happening. Manish turns to leave, but Dadi stops him and questions why Swarna and Surekha didn’t come. Manish explains that he didn’t know about the engagement, as they weren’t invited. Dadi scolds Sanjay for not inviting Manish and apologizes, but Manish declines her request to stay, stating he doesn’t want to be somewhere he isn’t respected. He congratulates them on Charu’s engagement and leaves.
Dadi, upset, reprimands Sanjay, Vidya, and Kajal for the oversight before walking away. Mala checks about the cake, and Charu mentions that Abhira was supposed to make it. However, Abhira admits she forgot to prepare the cake, leaving Charu surprised. Sanjay begins to scold Abhira, but Armaan intervenes, defending her, hinting at something deeper that others aren’t aware of. Neeraj steps in to diffuse the situation, assuring them that it’s not a big issue and offers to order a cake. Charu and Neeraj proceed to cut the cake, but Abhira quietly slips away. Armaan notices and starts searching for her.
Armaan searches for Abhira after she quietly left the engagement. His concern deepens. He finally finds her in a surprising spot—sitting inside a cupboard, curled up and crying. Her tears silently fall as she hides away from everyone, overwhelmed by emotions. Armaan, seeing her like this, is heartbroken. He gently kneels beside her, trying to comfort her. The sight of Abhira, so vulnerable and lost, makes him feel even more helpless. He reaches out to her, softly saying her name, as he tries to bring her out of her sorrow.
During the engagement, Abhira and Armaan join the celebration and dance together, though there’s a lingering sadness between them. As they dance, Charu stands apart, visibly upset. Tears well up in her eyes as she quietly confides in herself, wondering how she can reveal to the family what has happened to her.
