Despite his disappointment, Anirudh insists on a search, hoping for some clue about Jhanak. Guruji permits the police to search the ashram but keeps Jhanak’s identity concealed. He arranges for her to wear a veil, presenting her as a newly married woman, so her face remains hidden from the police and Anirudh.
While the police question the residents, Jhanak grows anxious as she recognizes Anirudh. Her nervousness increases when Anirudh approaches, sensing her presence. When he asks her name, Guruji intervenes, insisting it is inappropriate for a newlywed woman to reveal her face or identity. To reinforce this disguise, a man from the ashram pretends to be Jhanak’s husband. Although Anirudh suspects Jhanak is somehow still alive, he has no concrete evidence, and reluctantly leaves the hermitage, deeply troubled but holding on to a faint hope of seeing Jhanak again.
Meanwhile, at the Bose household, a funeral ceremony for Jhanak is underway. Family members, including Vinayak, Mrinalini, and Lalon’s family, gather to mourn. Vinayak, who had clung to hope for Jhanak’s survival, is now devastated, feeling the weight of the loss. Bablu grieves deeply, realizing how crushed his daughter has been by the news of Jhanak’s presumed death. Many family members, like Tanuja, Shubh, Mimi, and Rumi, attend, praying for her soul’s peace.
Back at the Bose house, Arshi arrives with hopes that Anirudh might eventually warm up to her. She shares news of an upcoming evening program featuring a girl with an obscured face, sparking curiosity. Appu attends the funeral, where her grandfather and Mrinalini attempt to comfort her.
Aditya, wishing Anirudh would join the family in mourning, goes to his room to persuade him to attend the funeral. Anirudh and Aditya discuss a recent encounter at the ashram. Anirudh mentions that the Guru Ji at the ashram resembled Brij Bhushan, but he clarifies that it wasn’t actually him. Aditya responds with interesting news: Brij Bhushan is expected to visit Kolkata the next day. Aditya reveals his plan to head to Mumbai, mentioning that he’s interested in seeing a performer named Nutan, who he has heard a lot about. He adds that Brij Bhushan will also be present there, which adds to his interest in the trip. Curious about Brij Bhushan and enticed by the opportunity, Anirudh agrees to join Aditya on the journey to the event
Aditya urges Anirudh to confront Brij Bhushan, sensing Anirudh’s reluctance. He points out that, despite Anirudh’s usual disinterest in stage performances, they should attend and directly face Brij. Aditya admits that their previous attempt to expose Brij failed, and they lost track of him. However, he insists they have a responsibility to confront him, as they now know the truth about Brij being Jhanak’s biological father. He reminds Anirudh about Urvashi’s letter, the sole proof of Brij’s connection to Jhanak, though Anirudh worries that Brij might deny it since Urvashi isn’t alive to confirm the claim. Despite these concerns, Aditya persuades Anirudh to join him.
Meanwhile, preparations for Jhanak’s rituals continue with Pandit Ji asking for her name and Gotra. Dadi doesn’t know it, so Arshi offers to call Mama Ji to find out, but Anirudh interrupts, saying there’s no need. Brij Bhushan introduces Jhanak as Nutan to a lady, instructing her to prepare Jhanak well so she remains unrecognizable. Meanwhile, Pandit Ji mentions the importance of Jhanak’s Gotra, prompting Anirudh to reveal it as Gautam Gotra, shocking everyone as it matches their own family Gotra. Anirudh then discloses that he and Jhanak were married, leaving the family stunned.
Elsewhere, Bipasha tries to comfort Arshi, reassuring her that Anirudh will return to her soon. Meenakshi requests Appu to sing a song for Jhanak one last time, which she does tearfully, recalling precious memories of her sister. Anirudh consoles Appu as she cries. The lady with Brij praises him and hints at secrets hidden in everyone’s life, including Guru Ji’s. Jhanak, however, is focused solely on finding answers about her family. In another scene, Kajal visits Anuradha, proudly announcing her promotion. Jhimli persuades her to stay longer, and while browsing the newspaper, Kajal comes across Nutan’s photo, realizing the strong resemblance to Jhanak. When Anuradha, Appu, and Lalon return, Appu is heartbroken, blaming herself for not stopping Jhanak. Anuradha comforts her, but Appu insists that all she wants is Jhanak back. Kajal shares Nutan’s photo with Appu, who instantly recognizes her as Jhanak and decides they all should go to the upcoming show. Anuradha, worried for Appu’s health, encourages her to rest, and Kajal promises to support her friend. As Brij readies Jhanak for her performance, he reaffirms his promise to reveal her father’s identity, leaving Jhanak anxious but hopeful for the truth.
