Today in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai written update, Armaan confronts Abhira, urging her to return Rohit’s baby, revealing that the baby belongs to Ruhi and Rohit. However, Abhira refuses to believe him, feeling betrayed by the suggestion that the baby isn’t hers. Armaan insists, explaining that a baby isn’t something Rohit would casually relinquish. Rohit then appeals to Armaan to accept the child, but Armaan is conflicted, unwilling to deceive Abhira. Abhira, still resistant, accuses Armaan of choosing her over the child, intensifying her disappointment. In a moment of distress, Armaan imagines losing Abhira because of this complicated situation.
In the real world, Abhira snaps him back, asking what he was saying. She feels joyful and content when the baby grips her finger, symbolizing a motherly bond. Rohit, observing the interaction, remarks that a baby always seeks a mother’s touch, and then the baby holds Armaan’s finger too, which brings a sense of warmth to the moment. Rohit is pleased, while elsewhere, Manish tries to wake Ruhi, believing she’s simply feigning sleep. He’s bewildered as he searches for her baby, while Kaveri learns from a nurse that there was only one surviving child.
Rohit once more implores Armaan to embrace his child, but Armaan is hesitant, feeling he would betray Abhira by doing so. Rohit explains he doesn’t want his child to grow up motherless, and this softens Armaan, leading him to contemplate revealing the truth to Abhira.
