Shubh, ever the practical one, suggests hiring a cook, but Lalon vetoes the idea faster than you can say “meal prep.” Anjana, who actually enjoys cooking, gets the green light from Lalon, showing that he’s surprisingly lenient when it suits him. Bipasha’s sarcastic commentary about Tanuja’s lack of culinary skills is the icing on this chaotic family cake.

Over on the romantic side of things, Ketki swears she won’t talk to Vihaan but probably doesn’t stand a chance given his father’s cheeky commentary. Vihaan, the eternal charmer, sweet-talks Jhanak into following his house rules, like a landlord negotiating with a reluctant tenant. Meanwhile, Jhanak melts at the baby’s smile because, apparently, a toothless grin can solve everything.
Jhanak 6th January 2025 Written Update Today:
The episode begins with Vihaan speaking to Akshat, expressing his relief that everything went well, but also voicing concerns about Jhanak. He points out that they still don’t know much about her and worries that if she is married, her husband might show up. Akshat reassures him, telling him not to overthink things. Vihaan thanks Akshat for his support.
Meanwhile, Vihaan’s bhabhi, Prachi, informs her father-in-law that she plans to cook Vihaan’s favorite dishes the next day. Curious about what Vihaan’s wife likes, she asks him for suggestions. However, Ketki scolds Prachi for even thinking about cooking dishes for Vihaan’s wife, stating that only the men’s favorites should be cooked in the house. She asks if Prachi has forgotten the house rules. Sejal steps in to explain that Prachi was asking because Vihaan’s wife is returning from abroad. Ketki’s father tries to remind her that Vihaan’s wife is just a human like everyone else, but Ketki dismisses it, insisting that Vihaan’s wife must follow her orders and storms off.
At the same time, Anirudh expresses his frustration with Laal, asking him whether he has ever taken care of his parents. He advises Laal to learn how to take care of them now. Bablu interjects, telling Anirudh that he no longer wants Laal’s help. Bipasha, meanwhile, reveals that she would not have married Laal if she had known that the Bose family wasn’t the owner of the house. Lalon responds, telling Bipasha that if she has a problem with doing household chores, she can leave. Anjana tries to reason with Lalon, saying they should follow the rules of the house from tomorrow. However, Lalon insists that Tanuja and Bipasha should handle the household chores and refuses to let Anjana help.
Sarika helps Jhanak get ready, offering her makeup tips. Jhanak, however, is reluctant, saying she doesn’t usually wear makeup. Sarika reassures her, telling her she’s a newly married bride and needs to look the part. Jhanak confesses that she is scared about not fitting in because she’s unfamiliar with life in America. Sarika comforts her, saying Vihaan’s family won’t question her much, and asks if Jhanak is married. Jhanak, deeply emotional, says that in her heart, she is married.
Meanwhile, Vihaan’s brothers, Bhavesh and Hitesh, decorate the house in preparation for Vihaan and his family’s return. Hitesh jokes that Ketki will be thrilled when she sees Vihaan, but he also predicts that she will become angry once she meets Vihaan’s wife.
In the kitchen, Anjana is making tea when Appu notices her and calls out to Tanuja. Lalon intervenes, telling Anjana to rest and taking her away. Appu then tells Tanuja to make breakfast, but Anjana, frustrated, points out that Tanuja has never cooked before. Bablu protests, telling Appu they should be kinder to Tanuja. Tanuja eventually brings tea for everyone.
As Sarika continues to comfort Jhanak, she reassures her that Vihaan will soon leave for America again, and Jhanak will have time to get close to Ahaan. Sarika also asks Jhanak about her mother, but Jhanak reveals she has no one left in the world. Sarika assures Jhanak that she will always be there for her, and Jhanak, overcome with emotion, begins to cry. Sarika tells her not to worry and reminds her that after eating, she will have to leave with Vihaan. At this moment, Vihaan and Akshat arrive, and Akshat comments that Jhanak is looking like Vihaan’s wife.
The neighbors gossip about Vihaan’s return and his wife, speculating that she is lucky to have him. One neighbor asks Vihaan’s father why Vihaan had to go to America when they have everything, but Vihaan’s father explains that Vihaan went to America to fulfill his dreams. He also points out that Ketki hasn’t spoken to Vihaan for two years.
Back at the house, Bipasha is shocked when she sees Tanuja bringing a tea tray. Laal tries to silence her, warning her not to react, or they’ll be in trouble. Appu instructs Bipasha to help Tanuja with the household tasks. Choton then asks Anjana why she can’t help Tanuja, pointing out that she always helps her favorite, Tanuja. The tension between the family members grows as roles and expectations continue to create friction.
Priyanshi, another family member, tries to go to a friend’s house, but Ketki forbids her from leaving. Priyanshi insists on going and seeks Prachi’s approval. Prachi, however, tells Priyanshi that she can’t go against Ketki. Priyanshi, frustrated, says she isn’t desperate to live in the house and threatens to leave. Ketki retaliates by saying that Priyanshi won’t be allowed to enter the house again if she leaves now. She further states that she’ll arrange Priyanshi’s marriage only after she completes her 10th grade.
Meanwhile, Akshat informs Vihaan that the family is preparing to welcome Jhanak, but Vihaan is troubled, apologizing to Avni in his mind for replacing her with Jhanak. Akshat suggests that Vihaan might want to meet his friends, and Vihaan talks about his friend from Kolkata. However, Jhanak overhears and becomes worried, thinking she might be overthinking the situation.
